Status: AWAKE @ 10pm-4am
Ever since I was on my highschool days, I have this disease [as I called it, lol] like almost everybody hates and nobody would want to have it--insomnia. Yes! I'm some sort of an insomniac.Sometimes I just wondered if I was born to be a nocturnal one. And worst, my insomnia often attacks me everytime I really need to rest. Like tright now, I'm a bit sicked and just about to recover. But how can I recover if I lack rest? duh?! Is this some sort of a joke? haha! It's not funny. But oh well, enough of some senseless stuffs [as I admit, I'm senseless right now. But just right now, haha!]. Luckily, I found something that will help my eyes get tired so that in an hour or more I can feel the urge to sleep. And what is it? Do my assignment in Stat. I admit, I'm not that good in Math just like everyone around me when I was on my Accountancy days. But atleast, by this time, I dare to answer those brain-twisting questions by Reyes (the author of our Elem Stat book) with all by myself. Yes, just myself. But like what I've said I'm not that good that's why I'm hoping that somebody could help me answer some of the questions I really can't figured out:
If there are 9 horses in a race, in how many ways can they finish first, second and third?
How many choices do we have if we are going to bet in the lott 6/42 draw?
In how many ways may 6 boys and 7 girls be seated in a row of 13 chairs? What if the boys and the girls must alternate?
If in an examination consisting of 24 questions, a student may omit 6, in how many ways can he select the problems he will answer?
How many 3-digit numbers greater than 300 can be formed from 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, if each digit can only be used once?
In how many ways can 10 students be split itno 2 groups containing 4 & 6 respectively?
In how many ways can the 5 starting positions in a basketball team be filled with 8 men who can play any position?
In how many ways can a jack, a queen, and a king be chosen from a deck of 52 cards?
I just hope someone can help me answer these problems...
