Still can’t come to terms with life. While I dwelled all my life believing my guiding lights are with me forever, God suddenly changes it all. Last 20 days were nothing but prayers and patience and your forever fighting spirit gave a new hope each morning but in the last 12 hours it all crashed to ashes. Still trying to admit I won’t see you, feel your hands patting my shoulders and asking - “khush ho na? Aur kuch important nai hai” I was super blessed to be close to you while I grew up, to listen to all your childhood stories, work life in England, masters and phd experiences in London, mining mishaps in Germany, fighting so many instances for your life and coming back a brave fighter every time. I guess your stories and life examples made me believe in destiny and God which kept on getting stronger with each passing year. Why do we have to pick leaves from the lawn every morning? How come you are always on time to see me on the bus stop and my bus arrives late? Why do I need to read the editorial daily? Why is Enid Blyton not fond of solo heroes? How come I am able to find 3p, 2p and 1p coins in your drawer and not in the shops? Why are all mythological figures fond of white horses? How come the diwali rocket you light goes straight up each and every time? Why do I have to stay 2500kms away from home in a hostel? How come you have the queen stamps in so many different colours? How can I be sure the man I decide to marry will keep me happy forever? How do I measure satisfaction in my work? How do You remember each and every important date right from the day you were born? Why did you name your house Vimalayan, why not Ramashrey? Trust me, the charisma with which you answered my questions everytime, I still remember each and every reasoning you presented me with.
