Lady Rosemary took us to Master Dumpling, her favourite dumpling eatery in Newmarket. It has been a trying week dealing with the storm and aftermath and she wanted to cheer us up. We had the pork & chives dumplings (pan-fried), a pork wonton soup and deep-fried shrimps in salted egg yolk. Westie Aunty was so excited to find Feng’s Home Made Noodles and Chinese Dumplings (that's rather a mouthful) on Lincoln Rd she insisted I join her for lunch. Mr Feng used to be a wine shop. We had green bean jelly with sauce, hot & sour soup, beef noodles and pan-fried chicken & cabbage dumplings. We could barely finish what we ordered. We looked around and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. We came to the conclusion that we are so used to eating spicy and flavoursome Malaysian food that everything else seems bland.
