‘DEADPOOL 2’ NON-SPOILER REVIEW: 8½ 😜 / 10 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's not often that a sequel is better than the original - but this is definitely one of them!! If you blink you'll miss something as the jokes are continuous & hit the mark almost every time. The opening credits had the audience in hysterics & Ryan Reynolds doesn't pull any punches as he makes fun of himself, Marvel, the X-Men, DC & even NZ'ers. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The story picks up 2 years after the original with Wade Winston Wilson aka Deadpool aka 'the Merc with a Mouth' doing what he does best - killing bad guys on an international scale. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After a personal tragedy, Wade loses the plot & it's up to Colussus & the X-Men to help him deal with the grief & give him the support that he needs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Enter stage left, Cable [aka Nathan Summers], a cybernetic mutant from the future who has returned to kill a young mutant before he kills for the 1st time - an act that the young mutant enjoys so much that he goes on a continuous murderous rampage that ultimately kills Cable's family in the future. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The irreverance of Ryan Reynold's character was well-balanced by the seriousness of Josh Brolin's portrayal of Cable.
