It was just after fifth period when Karkat was walking down the hall to lunch when he spotted Dave a few feet away, calmly walking out of an empty classroom. He picked up his slow place and waved at him to stop him so he could find out where Dave had been the last to class periods.

"Why the fuck did you skip class? You missed out on seeing th-." He stop his sentence midway spotting something on Dave.

"Why the ever loving fuck is there fucking BLUE lipstick on your neck!?"

His hands full from carrying plastic grocery bags filled with sodas and m&m's, Karkat akwadly knocked on the Strider's apartment door with his elbow and shouted at it almost loudly enough to bother any close neighbors.

"The party has arrived people!"
