Thanks to @burberrycanary and @vivelarevolution13 for tagging me in this catch-up meme. 💜
Last song I listened to: "Dripfield" by Goose. (But on and off today it's been "obsessed" by Olivia Rodrigo and "Too Sweet" by Hozier, both of which are pushing the "tasty riff" buttons in my brain.)
Last thing I read: This oral history of the making of Clueless, which is a Vanity Fair piece excerpted from a longer book!
Last movie I watched: Sholay (1975), which has EVERYTHING. Romance! Tragedy! Buddy comedy! A train robbery! Satire of imperialism! Canadian tuxedos! Groovy color! A young Amitabh Bachchan! A 1970s amount of chest hair! You will watch three hours of this 1970s Indian musical Western (yes really) and think to yourself "Honestly, I could have watched some more of this."
Last TV show: "Ugliest Houses in America" on HGTV, which is worth it just to hang out with Retta for a while.
Last thing I googled: "Apothic Dark review" (my thoughts: it was fine to cook with, but not my favorite drinking wine)
Last thing I ate: A s'more (toasted over a stove burner).
Sweet, salty, or savory: I really prefer any two of these in conjunction tbh...but probably sweet? (The real answer is "bread.")
Sleep: Soon, thank you, yes.
Currently reading: I just finished How I Won A Nobel Prize (which I would honestly very much like to discuss with someone) and am preparing to start North Woods.

I’m a newcomer to the fandom and you’ve probably already seen this, but just in case...
Vermillion and claret, please! (I, uh, I think I know the answer to vermillion already)
vermilion: have you ever pulled an all-nighter? if so, tell us about the first time.
Most wonderful of Stillscapes, your intuition is correct - I have indeed pulled a few all-nighters in my time, although I really try not to go without ANY sleep. (That hour or so nap demarcating one day from the next is really helpful, I find.)
I'm not exactly sure of the first time I stayed up all night, but an early (and awful) example was driving back to college after a club trip to NYC - we got a flat, had to have AAA put on a donut, and then later that night, witnessed a fatal car accident and had to talk to the cops. We limped back into town *well* after dawn and super freaked out.
More recently, I spent the Daylight Savings "Fall Back" night in the airport before an early morning flight. 0/10, do not recommend!
(Also, the instant earworm for this question: "It's the first time I stayed up all night/It's getting light, I hear the birds/I'm driving home through empty streets/I think I put my shirt on backwards")
claret: talk about a memorable experience on public transport.
Does Greyhound count? I have more than my fair share of Greyhound stories, including the one where I had to take the four hour "local" route instead of the two hour "direct" route I normally took. At one stop, the bus filled up with exuberantly boisterous guys in identical outfits. One of them apologized for his buddy staring at me with "Sorry ma'am, we all just got out of prison and he hasn't seen a woman in a long time." I smiled politely and decided it was time to feign being asleep for the rest of the trip.
