An accurate representation of the fact that I’m capable of resembling that of a thriving human being during our five day break; I’m not making any promises this semester though ☀️🌻

I slayed my finals, y’all 🌻
Long Term Care will always be my first ‘true love’ within my career! However, the truth about nursing is, you never truly know just how burned out you are within a specialty until you make a career transition that takes you completely out of your comfort zone and allows you to fall in love all over again 👵🏻👴🏻👩🏼⚕️🌻
One day down, 11 months and 17 days to go; 2018 is going to be fierce, y’all 🔥📚👩🏼⚕️🌻
In Nursing, We Choose Your Family Over Our Own
I’ve only ever missed ONE phone call from my dad. (If he’s calling me, SOMETHING is wrong)
In that very moment he was calling to tell me that my mother was actively having a massive heart attack, that he was scared and they NEEDED me - he needed to hear my voice, for me to comfort and reassure him; I was taking care of/stabilizing/providing comfort for someone else’s family member, who I thought to be actively experiencing a heart attack as well.
That call went to voicemail. My family needed me, but I was taking care of someone else’s. Let that sink in, before you ‘go off’ and 'tear us a new one'.
I slayed my Micro Biology final, y’all!
I start my RN bridge exactly four weeks from today!
You Is Sick You Is Contagious You Is A Nurse Positives: At least I’m getting my yearly does of influenza out of the way the week before nursing school starts, as opposed to during 🤷🏼♀️
