i think what’s really special about bleach in the big three is that despite some narrative decisions i think were truly made out of spite, bleach offers a lot more questions than answers, and this actually feels intentional the longer i chew on it
like the overarching message i feel is, “what do you think is the meaning of all of this that i’ve shown you” where fundamentally kubo is not interested in your answer for the sake of agreeing with him (which is why he reacted so negatively to people trying to dictate it) as opposed to oda or kishimoto whose messaging is more along the lines of “let me tell you a grand tale”
