Progress is slow.........MORE BEHIND THE SCENES!
Progress has been slow on both the new pages and on finalizing the website.
So to pacify your patience, here's some alternate styles for the speech bubbles on page 3! I almost deleted these before showing you (they were already in the recycle bin) D:
Very similar to traditional speech bubbles. Decided against it because I didn't want bubbles all over the place (never cared for that in comics much).
Sort of a hybrid between traditional and the final product. The bubbles lack tails and are always match the characters y axis while staying at the bottom of the page. This is my least favorite one; it has the worst aspects of all the others.
Very similar to the final version. Designed to be similar to an in-game chat window like in RPGs. Decided the colors and stroke around the letters made it too hard to read.
This one has some serious issues. The flat color obscures the art too much and is a huge distraction. But lettering is better. However I mostly didn't use this one because if there are multiple characters talking in the same panel its going to start looking like puzzle fighter...
Hope you guys like the style I ultimately chose! And appreciate this little peek into my process!! And can remain patient for a bit longer as we fix the site!!!
