So here's the thing
About a week ago, I posted a poll to see if my followers were interested in hearing about my career. The results suggest it's worth talking about here, rather than a new sideblog.
I'm an insurance agent, and I want to talk a little about why I chose that path and what I want to do.
At 19 I ran away from home. There were a lot of reasons for this, but part of it had to do with being queer. And as a trans man on my own with little to no support, I had no idea what I was doing. I could barely fill out the tax forms for my new job, I knew nothing about insurance or managing my own finances.
At 26, I'm now in a much better position. I have a family, I just married my lovely wife, and now I'm in a career where I can help other queer individuals and families like me.
So from now on, expect posts on this blog every so often talking about what I've learned. I'm only authorized to do business in my home state, but that's subject to change and no matter where you are you should have access to some basic knowledge. I'm attaching my contact information here, so anyone who wants to reach out with questions can do so, or feel free to send in an ask or pm.
