Sunday reading.
Trying to remember all the things my lineage has lost.
All the knowledge and wisdom that took centuries to develop.
The cultures and magic.
The undying faith in something more while living life simply.
This is what I long for.
This is what I’m reviving in my soul.
Need a break from parenting but feel guilty about using screens? Here's how to get your kids to play independently today!
Hamburg: Germany’s Hidden Gem for Curious Kids and Sophisticated Travelers
Sometimes the best family adventures begin with a child’s dream. 📍 Hamburg, Germany 🇩🇪 Our journey to Hamburg started when our son discovered Miniatur Wunderland, the world’s largest model railway and miniature world. His excitement was contagious, so we packed our bags and headed to northern Germany, expecting a fun attraction and little more. What we found exceeded every…
The greatest gift you can give a child in 2026 isn't a gadget or a packed resume. It’s your gaze. Modern parenting often feels like a game of defense. Parents are constantly reacting to school schedules, digital pings, and the subtle pressure of comparison. It’s easy to drift from being an anchor for our kids to simply being the "manager" of their schedules. Intentional parenting is about shifting from defense to offense. It’s about being the architect of their childhood, not just a bystander. My latest blog post dives into: How to fight the "digital drift" and create screen-free Sacred Zones. The power of the "I Noticed" journal to build real self-esteem. Finding your family’s "North Star" to filter out the cultural noise. If you’re trying to raise present, grounded kids in a distracted world, this one is for you. 👇 Check out the full article via the link in the comments! #Parenting #IntentionalParenting #FamilyFirst #MindfulParenting #DigitalDetox #RaisingKids

Connection > Correction: Navigating Childhood Disappointment
Connection > Correction 💡
When your child fails or faces disappointment, the instinct is often to lecture or fix it. But disappointment is a "muscle" they need to build.
Before you say a word, try these 3 steps:
1️⃣ Be Mentally Available: Put the phone down. Your quiet presence communicates safety before you say a single word.
2️⃣ Mirror, then Lead: Subtly match their body language to show "I see you." Once they trust you're with them, slowly brighten your tone, and they’ll likely follow your lead (Limbic Synchrony).
3️⃣ Redirect, Don't Correct: Instead of debating their "excuses," ask: What can you control? What can you learn? What needs to be let go?
Resilience isn't built by avoiding the "sad," it’s built by having a safe place to process it.
