Over the last few hours, Wyatt had taken up wandering the halls of Lake Mead Hospital. He hated sitting in that stuffy room with his father while they waited for his mother to finish her chemo treatment. His father felt the need to fill the silence and having long talks with the sheriff of Mystic was the very last thing he wanted to do. If it had been possible to avoid his father completely, Wyatt would have.
So he wandered through the hospital, aimlessly trying to distract himself from the fact that he was, in fact, in a hospital, one of his least favorite places to be. He’d literally been back in Mystic for less than 24 hours, hadn’t seen anyone yet, just gone straight to the hospital to be there for his mom. But now he was here, he wondered how long before he bumped into someone familiar.
Turning a corner as he decided to head towards the cafeteria, he bumped into the shoulder of someone he knew all too well. “Dylan??” Wyatt reached out to place his hands on her forearms, making sure to steady her after practically knocking her over. “What are you doing here?” he asked, an incredulous smile coming to his features.
