alex & ben.
Alex was just the right person to be taking along, considering everyone had attempted to talk him out of the warehouse he’d purchased, thinking it’d be too much trouble. But he knew it had potential, and truthfully, there was potential in this building, too. He could just see it. Beer bottle in hand, cigarette in the other, he finds a nearby seat, weathered and unused. The place was a mess, but once cleaned up.. it could be a hell of a restaurant. “I say you go for it,” he says, before sucking in a sharp breath, inhaling the smoke that aided him in keeping a constant cool. “It’s got potential, dude. Do you remember what the warehouse looked like before I transformed it? You’ve got the room here to do whatever the hell you want. Just gotta clean it up, and envision what you want out of it. What kind of restaurant are you two thinking?”Â
Ben knew he’d be able to give a few pointers out to Wyatt, being in the realm of business sorts himself, though the true brains in this situation was Alex. His friend had impressively built the 401 up from dirt, and well…when Wyatt warned them both beforehand that the potential location was a fixer-upper…he was not lying in the slightest. Leaning against one of the warehouse walls that remained standing, Ben placed his beer bottle and own cigarette pack down on what seemed like a ledge, amusedly scoffing at Alex’s commentary. “I do, it was a piece of shit too. I mean, if this one could do it and make a successful club, you definitely can with a restaurant.” He jokingly interjected, nodding at Alex. Proceeding to pick his lighter from his pocket upon grabbing a cigarette to ignite, his eyes zeroed in around the various debris. “Yeah, now we’re talking. What’s the menu?” Ben turned to Wyatt. “I am still getting food, right?” He mused. ( @wyattdcvis· )
Wyatt chuckled as he remembered the trash heap that Alex had showed them a few years back. Surely, if that place had had potential, this place could, right? Plus, Wyatt wasn’t above picking Alex & Ben’s brains, between the two, they had a pretty vast wealth of knowledge that he would no doubt need. “The only difference is I actually hope to make ours a reputable establishment.” he scoffed, nudging Alex’s shoulder with his before moving towards the staircase and turning around to face the two of them. “I’m not giving all the details away just yet, but,” he paused, maybe a bit for the dramatic effect, “we want something that brings high class food with a homey feel. A place that hopefully has good enough food to draw visitors to Mystic but isn’t so completely out of the locals comfort zone.” he explained, unable to keep the excitement from his voice. Since coming to Mystic, it had been pretty easy for Wyatt to fall into a state of hopelessness. He felt like he didn’t know what he was doing with his life anymore, like it had no purpose. But since dreaming up the restaurant with Nora, that purpose had come back again. And with things starting to take a turn with Liv, Wyatt was beginning to feel like he had the best of his life in New York and his old life here in Mystic all rolled into one. “So you two better like it.” he added, a smirk tugging at his lips.
