“I’m stopping by to say I know it’s going to be a while before we see each other. I reckon that won’t be until this war is over.” Clymene estimated with a heavy shrug of her shoulders. She didn’t know what to say to her mother. The war between the Titans and Cronus and Rhea’s offspring would divide families and separate loved ones but relationships weren’t safe in the matters of war. Nothing was safe.
It was easy for her to side with Cronus since the life she had under his rule was everything she wanted and his children were a threat that could take it all away. And how could she leave Iapetus? She wouldn’t dare leave his side and two of their sons already joined them with Epimetheus and Prometheus still undecided. Of course, Clymene would prefer them to all be together but she couldn’t force their allegiance. She encouraged them to make their own decisions even if they would cause a rift.
“I will have Iapetus with me. Atlas and Menoetius too. I’m not sure about Prometheus and Epimetheus...but something is telling me they won’t be joining us. I don’t want them to become our enemies but our family...so many have already turned on each other. Lines have been drawn unable to be erased. You and father won’t be taking part of this, I assume?”
