It had been ages since Rhea had laid eyes on her husband; the last of which was the day he was being sent to Tartarus to be imprisoned forever. Forever haunted her yet brought her peace at the same time. She couldn’t find a consistent feelings on the matter because either she woke up one day relieved Cronus was far from her and their family but other days she missed and yearned for him but for the old him she only felt love and adoration for when it was just the both of them.
While her feelings about her husband stayed conflict, at least she didn’t have to make up her mind about him...that is until she heard rumblings of the imprisoned titans being freed. A part of her dreaded their reunion but she was intrigued by it as well because she knew she couldn’t avoid them forever. In her mind, she had to be the one to make the first move. She had to be the bigger person; it was something she held over her husband and took pride in it.
At first, she was a loss for words at the sight of him. She spent time before thinking about what she would say to him if he was ever released but now those words were gone. Talking to a figment of her imagination would be easier than talking to the real him but she couldn’t let him see her distraught. He didn’t deserve to see her as she truly was. She had to put on a brave face for her own sake.
“I heard of your release and I had to see you for myself if it were true. I am, indeed, shocked you are still standing and a free titan given how much our children despise you. Who released you? And why?”
