Linnea sat on the fire escape watching the building across the road. Taking note of everyone that entered and left the apartment block whilst occasionally sipping from her flask of blood. Stakeouts weren’t Linnea’s favourite part of being a bounty hunter but they were necessary, especially when the target was proving to be rather hard to find. It should have been a simple case, the person in question was merely guilty of a few speeding tickets they hadn’t paid. Linnea rarely took the cases that were so easy, but occasionally she did to keep her employees happy.
With a sigh, Linnea shifted in an attempt to stretch her limbs when something caught her eye. Despite the darkness of the apartment, Linnea spotted movement by the window. Linnea hadn’t spotted the occupant’s return but perhaps she had missed it. Jumping down from her perch Linnea headed towards the building and made her way up the person’s apartment. Knocking on the door Linnea waiting patiently, she wasn’t about to say who she was. That would give them time to sneak out the window.
When no one came to the door Linnea quietly broke the lock on the door. Linnea wasn’t technically allowed to do such things, but that didn’t stop her. Especially, when she’d spent a ridiculous amount of time chasing someone who was guilty of speeding. Entering the apartment Linnea scanned for signs of movement, she could hear someone moving about. Linnea doubted she could hear them at all if she didn’t have supernatural hearing. “You’re going to have to hide better than that.”
