it was probably incredibly unsanitary to be sitting on the tiles of a bathroom stall floor, but arnold is so beyond rational thinking that he can't process that any more than anything else. it's for the best, because if he thought about it he'd have a whole new thing to freak out about. their knees are to their chest, face buried between them, shoulder pressed to the bathroom stall when they hear someone enter the bathroom. they do their best to be quiet as possible, biting their lip until it hurts. he wills the person to walk away and let him panic in peace.

"are you interested in playing wingwoman for me tonight?" arnold asks alicent as they sip at the vodka tonic in their hands. it's rare that arnold's out with the intent of connecting with strangers, but tonight must be a full moon or something.

closed starter for @drvcxrys (arnold & kagome) / their fingers scratch at their opposite wrist absentmindedly, keeping an eye out for poison ivy as they walk along the trail. they'd looked up pictures of it for an hour before agreeing to come on the hike, making sure they'd know how to spot it if it appeared. there were other things to worry about, too, like bears and murderers and magically little beings that would destroy their lives in dc, but poison ivy seemed more manageable. "you know where we're going, right?"
