Apparently a team at MIT are able to use an algorithm to measure the vibrations of an object which would allow them to understand how it might move and manipulate a still photo. It could help augmented reality be more realistic. In Pokémon go, a Pokemon would be able to interact with something physical rather than be superimposed onto a background which would be so freaking cool...
