The Matrix (1999)
Jet Near Light Speed - November 24th, 1997.
"Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity says that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. Jets of protons and electrons that shoot away from objects such as quasars and black holes appear to travel at speeds approaching this maximum speed, though. Such jets carry tremendous energy and can ram straight through interstellar material. In the above frame from a computer simulation, a jet traveling only 98 percent of light speed rams and mixes with interstellar material. Even higher energy jets might explain the structure seen around Cygnus A."

Under Cholesterol's Control
Computer simulations reveal that cholesterol – a component of the cell membrane – controls the essential barrier's properties, and can engender both impermeability and bendiness

If reality is a simulation, I want you all to know that you're my favorite part. If the machines ever unplug me, maybe we can meet up in the wasteland sometime.
You stand corrected.
Trees that grow quickly have a shorter lifespan, which is terrible news for fighting the climate crisis because they stop storing carbon. In a recent tree study, researchers found that certain tree species grow faster than others, and the faster trees grow, the quicker they die. Researchers already knew that...
