Veganism is growing at an insane rate in the U.S. and around the world

Veganism in the US has increased by 600% in the past 3 years alone. 

6% of Americans identified as vegan in 2017. Compared to only 1% in 2014.

Non-dairy milk sales have also increased by 61% since 2015 and traditional cow’s milk sales are decreasing. 

According to data released by GrubHub, people chose vegan food 19% more in the first half of 2017 than the year before. This set a new record.

The trend is spreading globally too. 

People identifying as vegans increased by 350% in the UK compared to a decade ago.

Vegetarianism rose by 400% in the last 10 years in Portugal. 

In Hong Kong, 22% of people are practicing a plant-based diet.

In China, even the government is joining the conversation. They’re encouraging people to cut their meat consumption in half. Researchers think China’s vegan market will grow more than 17% by 2020

More and more people are shifting towards plant-based diets. 

People are looking for meat-free substitutes and ethically prepared food items. 

They’re more concerned with healthier and sustainable lifestyles.
