Thok ast Thok - Write a brief flavor-text about your trial one would find as a listed description in the duty-finder
Far from his home and his people, bereft of any friends and allies, it is all too simple to fall into despair. But when a young Burmecian’s desperate pleas are heeded by the treacherous Ascians, things truly get out of hand. Will you be able to calm the Black Mage-turned-Primal? Or will you be left with no choice but to take Sceada down?
The Royal Menagerie - Describe your OC’s techniques or special attacks that the party will have to avoid or be cautious dealing with
Eternal Rain: Casted roughly 30 seconds into the fight, this spell remains permanently active as an area effective. Covering the entire arena which initially offers no shelter, it applies a stacking debuff called Rainsoaked every 10 seconds. The debuff has a timer of 25 seconds, thus requiring players to find a way to dodge the rain two times in a row in order to get rid of it.
Blizzaja Bash: Tankbuster, dealing moderate to massive damage, depending on the amount of Rainsoaked the tank has accumulated. With less than three, the attack is easily survivable even without using defensive cooldowns, while depending on the tank’s HP, a stack of 15 to 20 practically turns it into a OHKO attack. As such, tanks will need to keep an eye on their debuff, and swap accordingly.
Frost Driver: Turning to face one of the Healers, Sceada marks three lines in a conal arrangement, which soon after see gigantic icicles burst from the wet ground, running along the lines. These icicles remain after the attack as obstacles that can be destroyed by attacking them. If a player is hit by the attack, they will be frozen in place for (Number of Rainsoaked stacks *2) seconds,
Aeroga Gale: Arena-wide pushback attack dealing moderate damage. Origin and direction vary, causes icicles from Frost Driver to fall over. If two or more icicles would fall onto the same spot, they temporarily create a spot sheltered from the Eternal Rain, allowing players to remove their Rainsoaked debuff if they can wait it out there. Icicles that fall over to the ground are shattered, dealing high damage when they hit a player.
Demi + Firaga Storm: First casts Demi on the player standing closest to a rain-sheltered spot, drawing all other players towards them. Then casts Firaga Storm, an AoE spell which requires the party to stack and share the enormous damage. If any Icicles are hit by this spell, they will evaporate and disappear, causing the party to loose valuable safe spots sheltering them from the rain and it’s stacking debuff.
Flash Freeze: Freezes the arena’s floor, rendering movement more difficult. Players with 8 or more stacks of Rainsoaked are frozen and locked in an ice prison that can be destroyed from the outside. At 12 stacks or more, results in instant death.
Thundaga Wave: Party-wide AOE spell. Damage increses the more stack of Rainsoacked the character has.
Various other Black Magic spells are also used as attacks by him, requiring players to keep an eye on ground markers and dodge accordingly. Examples include Fira, Water, Aero, Blizzara, Thundara, Bio and Stone.
Wanderer’s Despair: At about 60%, the fight will move to the second phase, announced by this spell. Sceada ceases all attacks, instead cowering on the ground while a gigantic mirror spawns in the middle of the arena, reflecting his image. Multiple adds spawn, and start attacking the mirror. During the entirety of this phase, any damage dealt to Sceada will be reflected back at the attacking player and furthermore damage the mirror as well. If the mirror breaks, it results in a wipe.
Eternal Sorrow: Concludes the phase after a set time or when all adds have been successfully destroyed. Can be considered Sceada’s ultimate attack, and deals damage based on three factors: The number of Rainsoaked stacks a player has, the amount of damage the mirror has taken, and the amount of damage Sceada has taken during this phase.
The adds take a variety of forms, spread across a number of different races and classes, with their sole target being the mirror. The adds cannot be provoked, but can be stunned, slowed, silenced as well as inflicted with bind. Players are advised to make use of this fact in order to prevent the adds from damaging the mirror.
Frozen Rains: Marks the opening of the final phase, and replaces the Eternal Rain for a duration of 30 seconds, allowing players to rid themselves of the accumulated Rainsoaked stacks. For the duration of this skill however players will repeatedly take damage in 3 second intervals. Cannot be survived without healing in between. Once it finishes, the Eternal Rain automatically starts up again and Sceada begins using his spells from Phase 1 again.
Mirrorshard Blizzaja: AoE attack with erratic patterns which may overlap. Cannot be predicted and requires players to swiftly move towards a safe location. If they are caught by the attack, they suffer massive damage, and if they survive it, get locked into a frozen jail the party needs to break them out of.
Fatal Firaja: Immensely powerful fire attack whose damage needs to be shared and that deals multiple hits, similar to for example Akh Morn. The number of hits increases every time the spell is being cast. Besides dealing damage to the players, this attack also damages Sceada, initially dealing about 1% of damage, which likewise increases (for example, the third time it’s cast it will take about 2% of his HP away). This attack can defeat Sceada.
