Ayyy thx for asking back!! I'm so in love with the inherently collaborative nature of character creation in IF. I'm talkin bout characters whose gender can be set by the player (or set at random for each playthrough), creators who reblog fanart that depicts wild variations of their characters and thereby create a range of "canon" appearances, the idea of making [game title]-sonas. IF characters feel more real than characters in books/comics/movies/etc because the way they're built by creators and fans MIRRORS HOW WE BUILD OURSELVES DAY TO DAY! We are little pieces of each other, we are a little different every time, selfhood is a slippery slippery concept and IF can and does embrace that in a way other storytelling mediums struggle to!!!
