Part 2, project 4, exercise 2 – simple interior perspective.
This task is essentially one of demonstrating a grasp of linear perspective which is where two parallel lines converge on a distant vanishing point, like railway tracks disappearing into the distance. Obviously, in a house the vanishing point is likely to be somewhere outside the room but the principle is the same. My house is full of these; a bungalow with add-ons added to add-ons, it’s like a…
quick perspectives I did for my friend wahahaha im hapi na natapos ko syang gawin kahit na dapat mia ako nung weekend. ang solid ng lumion 8 gag0. di ganun ka pretty i know pero pweds na pag nagccramming ka hahaha.
how to make very basic perspectives in just ~30mins
Sketchup: We started from this model. Don’t worry if your model is just plain, the important parts it should have are the basic like doors, windows, walls floors, ceiling, etc. (lighting fixtures if you want) There is no need to put in furniture (because lumion 8 already has furnitures yay) From this, we have to start filling the surfaces with the materials, there is no need to be accurate at this point. The point of coloring the model is to separate the surfaces with different materials. So for example, let’s fill the floor with red, and the walls with blue, the ceilings with yellow, the windows with glass. You can change all these materials later on Lumion 8. You just really have to separate the surfaces with different texture or materials first. And once you’ve done that, export the model as 3d, can be 3ds or collada file (.dae) (it’s the lumion export file)
Lumion 8: Import the model. Then in the build mode, click the materials icon on the lower left side, start changing the materials of the surfaces of your model. Your red floor can be changed into a wooden floor, the blue ceiling to bricks, the ceiling to plaster, and of course the windows, to glass (don’t forget to click the check icon). After that, click the objects and put in the nature, people, and indoor furniture. The library contains more stuff so yes you can find tables, chairs, & even clothes in there. Just explore the library until you find the right stuff (if you can’t find the furniture, then you have to put it in your sketchup first before going to lumion) Then do the lighting, put the lights on the ceiling near the wall, so its effect could be seen. After that, change the sun and sky settings, change the orientation and location of sun until you’re satisfied or on how it should be really positioned according to your site. When you’ re done, click the export photo with the camera icon, then make sure to change the custom setting to realistic. You can add effects by clicking the Fx icon, I usually use the volumetric sunlight to add a dramatic effect to the render. When you’re happy with its look, click store camera then click that green icon to export, you can use print or desktop whichever you want. In this case we used the desktop setting.
Photoshop: Open the exported photo file, change its curve levels, modify it until you make an S like line pattern from the linear line, or until it looks realistic enough for you. Then click the hue and saturation setting, lower its saturation, in this case we used -30. And that’s it, quick and easy, save the photo as png or whatever picture file you want and tada you have it.
