EXERCISE 2
Write down a desire.
Create a sigil by omitting repeated letters, and then arranging the remainder into an arbitrary, abstract glyph.
Masturbate.
At the point of orgasm, visualize the sigil.
Forget about it.
Record the result in your diary.
MY VERSION
Desire: The hair dye I help [friend] with later today goes well
Sigil: It’s some tones based on the letters. Removed vowels and repeating letters, total length abt 2.5 seconds
Result: Later today!
I ended up having the sound play on repeat in the background while i masturbated. I was worried about getting distracted and not concentrating on it. I definitely feel like i concentrated well on the sound

This post is one of a series of writing exercises that I’ve used, either in a writing course or on my own. Each post includes this disclaimer, a description of the exercise, and an example from my own writing. This is my first attempt at a GIF.... I was experimenting with opacity.
Exercise 2 - Logo Reveal
For the Cangura logo, I was inspired by how the Luxo Jr. lamp interacts with the letter I in the Pixar Animation logo. I thought that having the Cangura kangaroo jump on the letters would be a nice visual pun. I drew additional inspiration from the 2009 Nickelodeon logo in having the camera slowly zoom out to reveal the entire word, as well as featuring a white background.
For the Corbo's logo, I wasn't inspired by another animation. I wanted to find parts of the logo that could move in a way that made logical sense. So, I chose to reveal the Corbo's logo first in a crop style and have the pizza slices slide out from underneath the text. For this animation, I chose to use sound effects for added emphasis. I used a sword slashing for the crop reveal, so it would feel like an unsheathing. I used a "whoosh" sound for the zoom-out to make it feel like the logo flew by. I lastly used two homemade "whoosh" sounds for the pizza sounds, created by swinging a hanger in midair.
