33 minutes and 57 seconds into the first episode of tlou.

Um. If I was capable of crying I would be sobbing.

And I think I audibly gasped at the time skip. I expected like. 1 year. 5 at most. What the fuck this show is going to break me emotionally.

The best part of this episode for me is the team tournament, no doubt. It’s so refreshing to see both yurim and heedo just enjoying the game, no pressure. The looks they gave each other — big youthful grins… yurim’s pep talk… her “it’s my turn” with that confident smile as though she wants to assure heedo that “she’s got this, don’t worry”… and that secret look they shared before yurim turned over the final match to heedo, wrists touching — nothing beats that. And when heedo said “i fight for us, for people i love”, where the scene switches to yurim’s face, cheering for her… yes, i think i died just a little. It makes me forget for a minute that there’s a whole hetero stuff happening outside, where we’re supposed to root for a grown man kissing a girl who’s still a senior in high school (they aren’t twenty five/twenty one yet, just so we’re clear… but that’s a whole other matter that i’d rather not delve into, but… yeah, that’s just a simple yikes and nope for me.)

Let’s not forget the post-match interview where heedo and yurim thanked each other, acknowledging each other’s contribution to their victory. And that embarassed “kyaaah” face heedo made when she saw herself literally fangirling over yurim.

But yeah, imagine if this was a GL and there are no grown men lurking about? This show would have been one of the best representations of highschool romance.

ITS JUST NEAR THE INTRO BUT THE FLASHBACK OF MARIA PLAYING LIVE AND LEARN ON HER ACOUSTIC GUITAR. I DONT KNOW WHY BUT IT HURT SO MUCH I LOVE IT BUT FFUUUCCCCKKKKK maria was the sweetest in this movie

PLUS THE FACT THAT SHADOW LITERALLY HAD A MOTIF TO LIVE AND LEARN THROUGHOUT PARTS OF THE MOVIES SOUNDTRACK???? OH MY GOD
