On this International Women's Day (which I really hope one day will be changed into International Equality Day, because that's what we really want), I pay salute to some of the men in my life. My very own husband, the men in my family, men I've considered family, and my best friends' (future) husbands. These men support girls' night outs and out of town girls only trips and Halloween escapades. These men know when to fight the fights that matter and when it's better to just be quiet. These men celebrate our victories and pick us up when we are down. These men not only provide financial support but emotional strength. And humor (of course). As much as today is a celebration of women, I want to acknowledge these men who are doing what they can to make their women happy or to raise happy women. May we thank them, may we love them, and may we truly think and feel as equals! #InternationalWomensDay #InternationalEqualityDay
