Jackson Lake Lodge
This lodge, which is on the U.S. Register of Historic Places, is located in Grand Teton National Park and has an interesting history.
John D. Rockefeller hired architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood to design the building. The lodge opened in 1955 and was the first building in the National Park System utilizing the International Style of architecture.

I had no idea of all this when I passed by recently and popped my head in the door for the above color image. I HAD been at this location forty-six years prior traveling around as a youngster.
Here's an image I made back at that time—I had wanted to do an updated image to show as a diptych, but the weather did not cooperate, the dramatic peaks completely shrouded.
