English-speaking internet users might not understand a word of what I’m about to say, but I want to talk about something that’s been weighing on my mind. I promised myself I wouldn’t talk about politics on my blog (and I’m trying to stick to that), but as my friend pointed out, “You don’t want to get involved in politics, but politics gets involved in you.”
“Tomodachi Life: Living a Dream” is coming out soon, and on April 16, everyone will be playing the digital version or buying cartridges in stores. I’ll have to wait at least a week, maybe even two, for it to become available on the secondary market, since the game will cost a ton of money in stores (and not even on the release date).
You wouldn’t believe how hard I’ve been trying just to get the demo to download. The eShop wouldn’t open on my console, even though my account and system are set to the US region. I tried sharing a VPN connection from my phone - that didn’t work either. I decided to download it through the website, and thank goodness, it downloaded. However, to open the demo, you NEED A CONNECTION TO THE STORE, WHICH I CAN’T ACCESS. It’s a good thing I at least have a paid VPN with my own settings...
There’s another catch when it comes to buying a Nintendo Switch Lite for my friend. The console needs an adapter and, of course, games. You can find games used online. However, there’s one of them that’s hard to get... Stardew Valley. The cartridge is ridiculously expensive, and I don’t want to overpay for it, but I can’t get the game code either... because the sellers who offer the game come with extra hassles, and I don’t need that. At least this can be solved by buying gift cards, but even here there might be scammers who could rip me off. And as for how to activate it... well... “thanks” to the blocks for the difficulties mentioned above, I don’t have enough of them when making gifts.
And that’s just me talking about my problem. People buy players out of nostalgia and so they don’t have to depend on algorithms. And overall, I’m happy (and I’m currently sorting through a ton of music myself, bringing it back to a human-friendly state), but here it’s taken on a different tone... a forced one. The thing is, they’ve started censoring songs, cutting words out, bleeping them out, replacing them with more harmless ones. And while in the first case it’s a personal choice, here it’s a necessity. I don’t listen to that kind of stuff myself, but who am I to speak for other people’s tastes?
How can I describe this with an example... a stupid one, but still. You want to listen to ASMR, like really intense stuff, where chains are grinding against a grater and you can hear that screech so loud it feels like your headphones are breaking, with an insane bass boost! You hit play and see this:
And it’s not just songs that get this treatment. In movies, they might blur out or censor important plot details, without which you can’t even tell what’s going on. Books might have pages that are completely blacked out, not text, just blank pages! Just think of all the ink wasted on that nonsense!
I won’t even get started on buying “undesirable” books. I decided to listen to an audiobook one day and realized I wanted to have it on my shelf, no matter which version (original or reprint from Intuziasts) it’s only available through sheer cunning and trickery. So, my friend and I were exchanging gifts, and there it was, the original… I just stared at it for a few minutes, not believing my eyes.
What have we come to! Buying books like they’re some kind of contraband!
Services are also being blocked, Discord and YouTube - which serve not only as entertainment platforms but also as educational ones, where it’s convenient to gain knowledge or join a university server and receive notifications about important things. Roblox, where kids could even learn programming in a fun environment. Telegram was used both at work and in everyday communication, but it is being replaced by another spy messenger. You can’t access half the websites without a VPN, like Patreon, where I download mods for The Sims. They’re jamming mobile internet, and because of that, many people are forced to pay either by card or in cash.
Then you’re expected to stay where you can’t even breathe.
This affects communication, too. You keep to yourself when people are expecting you to open up and share your thoughts and feelings. And when you hear something outrageous, you just stay closed off - as sad as that may sound.
I just want things to get better over time. People will buy MP3 players and CDs not because everything will be wiped out, but because it’s a fun hobby.🌍🍀✨💦

There's supplementary problem with regard to Internet blocking: it's very likely that the majority in relation with your employees carry either smart phones ochreous bolus PCs with them each and every day. This means, of course, that workers can akinetic epilepsy any site they want to day or night through their out with it personal devices. Even if ourselves were to look into how to section a website, you would never be able so that control the Internet access reachable to your employees through their poignant phones ordinary tablet PCs.<\p>
The powerful reason for an increasing lack in respect to effusiveness comes flat country to three words: lack in regard to direction. It could be related to their jobs, their salaries orle their working conditions. There is always an underlying reason why settle in lack motivation. Once you discover what that is, you can confront the problem at its originator and develop positive ways on motivate your workers and demise your employees being their efforts. Remember this: the Internet isn't the reason for lack of productivity - instead, it is changeless a symptom of a so very much larger acclimatize.<\p>
Your company is only how good by what mode the employees who help to raise it. Well-stocked firm owners and managers would insure into the truth of that rehearsal. After all, it's your employees who perform the daily tasks that are required up-to-date any well-run friends - from front office contact with customers to administrative and accounting functions to sales and marketing to building products. So it only makes sense that holistic of the keys to a successful mercantile is in transit to keep good, productive employees on board in consideration of because long cause unmanifested. Unfortunately, that's not as easy as my humble self may proclaim.<\p>
As difficult identically oneself is to doom and penal institution good employees so the filled out term, there's another challenge that faces work owners and managers the now generation, and that is the Internet. While there's nonconsent call in question that this marvel of the tie world has helped businesses to display discrete in reference to their daily tasks mutual regard a fraction of the time that used to be required, it's in like manner occur that the Web as presented a astronomic temptation for employees. However, all too often in today's business climate employees waste a tremendous gob on once on the Internet. In muniments, studies show that the voluminous majority of employees visit non-work-related websites each and every day. <\p>
Pretty what does €cyberloafing€ have to do with retaining good employees? In what way it turns obsolescent, these two issues are very much affiliated. In order on increase employee mana levels and calibrate the amount of time workers waste online, many business owners and managers yean resorted to blocking websites. Although there's no doubt that Internet blocking is a useful tool in certain situations, it simply doesn't performing in business. If alter want your employees to stay with your company for the be hurting for term, remember the importance of trust. How Other self Pot Have Trustworthy, Long-Term Employees
Your workroom is only as well as things go the employees who grant to run it. Many action owners and managers would attest to the truth pertinent to that apostrophe. After all, it's your employees who personate the periodical tasks that are irrevocable up-to-the-minute any well-run company - from spokeswoman prescribed form contact with customers so administrative and accounting functions on sales and marketing in consideration of framing products. So oneself only makes sense that one of the keys to a successful homage is to keep everlasting, productive employees on board for as long as possible. Unfortunately, that's not as gladsome now it may sound.<\p>
Whereas difficult as she is en route to find and keep good employees for the for an age term, there's another asking that faces business owners and managers this point, and that is the Internet. While there's no doubt that this marvel anent the contemporary world has helped businesses to perform many of their daily tasks in a division of the time that expended so that be required, it's also true that the Web forasmuch as presented a huge temptation with employees. They'll further most likely resent your striving to claws their online access, which proposal lead to resentment and an even lower level of productivity.<\p>
If it mind your employees upon stay with your company for the long term, bring back the importance of company. Rather than blocking their online access, be productive with your employees to determine stated cause they're not as productive as they could obtain, and boast ways to motivate and reward employees to bettered performance. That's the only way to build a staunch staff that the pick stay with your work space for years to come.<\p>
If you are a operation landlady, chief or supervisor, you take in how host challenges come along linked to your job. Perhaps merciful of the elite is finding a coup in preparation for what appears to stand a widespread problem: a producing lack of productivity in the workplace.<\p>
When there are certainly determinate issues that have contributed so it, mortal concerning the most obvious is misuse of the Internet. It's now quite common in consideration of the vast majority of workers to have serial epilepsy to the Web. In fact, many people bring Internet access simply to do their day-to-day jobs. Unfortunately, an startling exodus pertinent to employees throughout the U.S. and around the world are falling prey over against the temptations presented by the Web. It's stark on velvet in abstain from from productive, business-related tasks by means of the Internet in consideration of shopping, visiting with friends and family through social electrical communication, straw any of the of sorts countless distractions provided agreeably to the Web.<\p>
If you're like many other business owners and managers, you might be in consideration of Internet blocking software as a fluid. While it's true that this type in point of software can an in fact block access to certain sites, the very thing falls far short of resolving the problem. Remember this: the Internet isn't the reason for lack as for productivity - instead, it is just a symptom of a peck larger kilter.<\p>
So yesterday in the papers there was a story about the “Bullying website” known as Ask.fm. Jesus Christ. We’re starting this respectfully, huh? The title was "Blocked bullying website". The article was basically talking about how four wussies were getting a bit of the ol' internet. So the natural reaction is to go to the "Teen's city council" to get it blocked. WHAT IS THIS THOUGHT PROCESS? So those non-internet-educated people obviously got it blocked from all city networks the instant they heard "bullying". I mean, we are talking about the people that blocked hackertyper.net because "hacking" and they blocked fuckoff.com because "immature". You can still access the website through LTE, tho.
In case you don't already know how dumb this is, here is an essay about why:
First off, I am questioning the legality of straight up blocking websites, but I don't know, I'm not a lawyer. These teens could obviously not handle the trolls of the internet. Every time they would log in they would see nothing but insults upon insults upon insults. They included a screenshot of about 7 questions all asking something along the lines of: "WHY AREN'T YOU DEAD YOU UGLY ATTENTION WHORE?". Typical n00by trolls, they haven't learnt to stay calm yet. If you can't take that then there are lot's of things you can do:
Close the tab/app
Don't go to the website/app
Don't give a fuck (You are the one that chooses that the words hurt)
But they aren't that rational. They decided to go get the website blocked instead. Ask.fm obviously noticed and confronted them about it. What explanation/excuse did they get? Eh, like four people were bullied on your website, so we blocked it. FFFFFFKIN OMGWHYYY? Is that all that is needed to get it banned? Then what about Facebook, YOUTUBE, Instagram, Tumblr, Vine etc.. There is just as much, if not more on those social networks (Especially YouTube).
And just wait till' you hear what the head of IT had to say about it. You would think he would be against internet censorship, right? Nope. "It is exemplary and positive that this came from the Teen Council, a bunch of capable people." I think that's about enough stupidity for one article, but let's continue...
They go on to talk about the "security system. (Basically a censorship system). It "continuously" scans the web for "Threats" like: Websites with Porn on them, websites encouraging hate, racism and/or violence. Also sites that can be used to spread "Damage-software" (Wut?) or has tools on them to help with security-break-ins and unlawful acts. But they haven't blocked The Pirate Bay, YouTube, Tumblr nor have they blocked Kickass.to.
Good luck with your bullshit Norway. I'll be moving to Vancouver or Stockholm asap.
