[note: this isn't a very positive post, sorry]
Today, while driving home from Tulsa, I realized something.
It's true. There just isn't anything about me that is impressive (except perhaps my ability to find fault with myself). I'm not really whining about this, just...it's true. I have no special talents or skills, I have no exclusive experiences or knowledge, and I'm not amazingly attractive.
This is...discomforting because I realize now that I could have done something about this. When I was younger, I played the piano, took gymnastics, took Tai Kwon Do, played the trumpet, painted, and played soccer to name a few things. But I didn't take any of those things very far. Some I quit, others quit being available to me; but, I never got really good at any of them. And what is frustrating about that is most of my teachers in the above listed thought I had potential to be good!
So I need to do something about this. I feel unremarkable. If I were asked to list traits that distinguish me from any ol' Joe, the only thing I would probably say is my sense of humor. Maybe. I wouldn't say it is remarkable, but I can make most people laugh (which I appreciate about myself).
I need to do a bucket list. Or some kind of goal list. Trouble is...I can't keep myself accountable; hence my current predicament.
But, if I did manage to work up the motivation to better myself, here are some things I would do:
Learn French/Italian/German/Russian.
Take a dance class (specifically: learn to Tango & Waltz).
Learn to cook (like on the stove, not so much baking).
Learn how to bar tend well (like professionally).
Build up a lil muscle mass
There. 8 things I could, would, should do. Maybe I'll get around to it. Idk.
Anyway...Long post is long.
