you know im like 98% sure that it was your post about the inspiration list that prompted me to add Murders on the Yangtze River to my wishlist though i only just now got around to playing it :'D

hehe nice i hope you enjoyed. i really liked listening to the voice acting and seeing how much chinese i could recognize. also the translation choices and english voice acting.

"Hypnotic control is only sustainable on low-intelligence lifeforms, so obviously not." The Master murmured, holding out his hand for the suddenly-docile cat to drop the wires into. "We're rather in luck this one used to be human."

"Hey!" Jo sort of liked the Master, the way one liked the absolutely ludicrous villains at the movies, but she wouldn't stand for her species being insulted, no siree. "You take that back! Doctor, aren't you gonna say anything?"

"Well... no." The Doctor shrugged, content to keep holding the Cat-alyst while the Master was inspecting the wires for teethmarks. "You see, Jo, it is a hypnological fact that humans are controllable and cats aren't. I'm sorry, my dear girl, but there's no arguing with science."

"In her defence, hypnology isn't an exact one, precisely."

"Must you always undermine me?"

"My dearest Doctor, I see it as my very purpose in life."

A Third-Doctor-era DW fic, in which the entirety of UNIT is turned very unfortunately into cats, and neither Jo nor the Master are any help whatsoever.

I have a soft spot for this one still, one day I’ll give it some semblance of an ending, I’m sure!

There's hardly any of this one, but the premise of it was the doctor, the fam and several others doing a heist! It was going to be a big collab project where different writers wrote different chapters from different povs about the heist, but all wildly different accounts. I was going to write the last chapter - the objective truth - written from the pov of the security AI at the place they were breaking into

Alas, we didn't get very far with the collab RIP but I don't like deleting anything, so I kept it. This is the whole thing I wrote (complete with no database name because we didn’t decide what the place they were breaking into was called HAHA)

But perhaps we’ve started looking at this the wrong way. Perhaps we’ve been looking at this the wrong way this whole time. Sometimes, that is the way of things. Sometimes, we only realise at the end that none of the methods we’ve been using have been adequate. We have not gained the data we require in order to see the complete picture. We have gained data we believe to be inaccurate or even biased. We cannot draw conclusions with an acceptable amount of certainty.

And so, perhaps, we require a more…objective approach.

Hi! I discovered your Yelp reviews fic through a comment on mine (about an antique book forum) and I loved it! (the bit about the Bentley had me cackling, my dad had an antique car and people would stop us to ask to buy it every time we took it out) I was wondering if it was ok to quote one or two reviews in the new fic I'm writing (in which Aziraphale uses a smartphone). I know you said derivatives are okay but I figure I should still ask first.

Go for it! And for the record---to anyone reading---I never mind answering “Can I do [insert thing here]” asks. I’m anxious by default and someone could have a neon sign on their blog yelling that it’s a free for all and I’d STILL message them with, “Okay but are you really, really, really sure?” 

Also, we absolutely need more Aziraphale with (vs.?) technology fics. I’ve got a scene in my next one where he’s driving Crowley up the wall by writing all his texts out with greetings, sign offs, and formal little P.S.s  :D

i thought at least brother francis was heavily implied to be st. francis of assissi, given all the birds hanging out with him and all. how he got ahold of the saint without heaven catching on to shenanigans is another question...

i actually know nothing about christianity so i absolutely did not pick up on that. and that is indeed a good question. aziraphale’s saint kidnapping service has got to be a wild tale of its own

i’ve been having a lot of fun with it and because i haven’t really been working because adjusting to my meds has been straight up hellish as far as doing anything goes (it’s thankfully improving like people said it would), this is what i’ve been spending time on. it’s making me feel a little less useless lmao
