That Elrond and Celebrían piece is tagged as ai art :(
UGH that's so disappointing. Thanks for the info, anon. I went back to look and sure enough it was labeled as such by the author (good on them for that, I suppose. If people insist on generating AI """art""" I at least want a clear way to identify it), so my own lack of diligence was the issue there.
Although, it really sucks that we have to be diligent nowadays. Both for obvious reasons and more tumblr-specific reasons. Meaning, I'd used the queue function and only saw the tags from the previous poster, so there's no way for me to see it's AI unless I got back to the original source, yet I was actively using a function designed for quick don't-think-just-add blogging. Which is what we want! Not uncritical consumption, but more generally the ability to quickly and seamlessly add to our own blogs, especially nowadays when liking outweighs reblogging so heavily. (Which, notably, is also the easier + quicker action.) Having to check everything we pass along - while unfortunately necessary - is a time-process that takes a lot of fun out of blogging itself. I don't want to side-eye every cool picture I see, approaching it with a 'guilty until proven innocent' mindset. It sucks.
ANYWAY I'm just ranting at this point. I'm gonna go back to crocheting a panda with my own two, human hands. Thanks again, anon!
