I think im getting too old and easily annoyed to participate in fandoms as an active member. Got way too heated and perplexed by seeing someone saying (at length) they don't think they are gonna like something they haven't even watched yet. And tagging the thing???

I do honestly think as a person who’s always been into fandom stuff, it’s gotten a lot harder to find actual community in fandom spaces? It seems a lot more ‘out until you’re in’ in most internet ‘places’ recently. Maybe that’s just me not knowing how to actually find the right people but it seems a lot more common and the kind of ‘we’re all weird so we stick together’ mindset doesn’t seem to be around as much.

Idk maybe that’s just me though! I just wanted to share because I agree with what you’re saying

Giving the benefit of the doubt to current fandom, I really don't have the free time I used to have to go in deep and to try to find the cool people like I used to, so I can't in good conscience say it's the state of it as a whole.

BUT lately as in does feel kinda off :/

It does seem like Big Fandom is not on tumblr anymore and I really don't vibe with other platforms so I only see what's not the best type of discussions and such because this is simply not the big place for it anymore

But all of this us of course just the perspective of my little self and I could be way off lol
