It's getting to be a real effort to list every single Space Marine character that's Primarisized, but add Asmodai to it.
Unlike some other chapter characters, Asmodai actually did get an update in 2013 - Dark Angels were center stage for the 6th edition starter set, Dark Vengeance - but aside from the addition of some smoke effects it wasn't that much of a departure from the 90s original.
Speaking of, I'm a big fan of making the censer smoke an optional assembly. It's evocative but, boy, what a hassle to paint. Ditto the choice of hooded or unhooded helmets.
Like Mephiston and Fabius Bile, the new Asmodai draws a clear source of inspiration from his 2nd edition art, continuing the trend of updating the most iconic images of classic characters. Very happy with the overall result.
