Sorry everyone-I thought I posted the whole thing. A lot of Ace people who have #intersistialcystitis get accused of being Ace solely b/c of their illness. #asexualityawareness https://www.instagram.com/p/CAY_H7sAYlJ/?igshid=4svyvqiocm9n

I came to a realization when I was in pain last night. I’m going to take the plunge, even if I get sick along the way. After this IG b.s. is over, I’m making two accounts. I’ve been ignoring my desire to write about disabilities and women’s health. If @pixaronward has taught me anything, it’s that you should take a plunge, even if you might fail. If @theianlightfootofficial can do something like magic, I can be a professional writer and blogger. I don’t have a @barleylightfootofficial to push me, but you have to be your own support system sometimes. In times like this, our health matters the most. ##intersistialcystitis #interstitialcystitisawareness #interstitialcystitiswarrior #chronicillnesswarrior #chronicpainwarrior #chronicpainawareness #womenshealth #writingislife #freelancing #chronicpainblogger https://www.instagram.com/p/B_DRwApD_cr/?igshid=1pnv4phcmmflh
#SPOONIESPOTLIGHT Chronologically, I’m 28 years old, but I’ve got the creaky, illness-ridden body of an 88 year old, and sometimes I feel about 12 in mind and ability. I’ve got stage IV endometriosis on my uterus, bowels, ovaries and bladder; adenomyosis; interstitial cystitis; PCOS; and EDS (hyper-mobility type)–all invisible illnesses that wreak havoc on my daily life. While my peers are hiking mountains, having babies, getting PHDs, and travelling the world, I’m going to doctor’s appointments, watching South Park in bed, mustering up the energy to make myself a bowl of ramen, and ignoring my mom’s/partner’s/friends’ suggestions that I go to the ER again. My hope for each person who experiences chronic pain, is that you can find a way to separate your identity from your illness, and find time to celebrate the positive, quirky, remarkable things that consistently define you no matter whether you’re laying in a hospital bed, or standing at the top of a mountain. . . . . #endometriosis #adenomyosis #intersistialcystitis #ehlersdanlossyndrome #chronicpain #chronicillness #invisibleillness
