[The room was decked in deep red and gold, with large paintings and taxidermized creatures serving as decoration. Dressed in a dark, midnight blue robe of silk, Vivruh Cazriec -a lunar elf with royal purple skin, pupil-less lavender eyes relaxes on a chaise longue with a glass of red wine in his hand.
Kneeling on the floor beside him is Eldwin, a young human with pale white skin, mid-length black hair and silver eyes. He doesn't look at Vivruh nor the interviewer, instead keeping his sight trained on the towering windows where sunlight streams through. His face is expressionless, but there's a hint of longing. He wears a short, loose garment of ivory fabric draped over one shoulder, exposing his arms. A collar made of gold weighs upon his neck. His hands are folded in his lap, and on each wrist is a slim golden band.]
1: What would you get the other as a gift? A genuine gift.
V: "I get him lots of gifts. Luxurious clothes, jewellery, expensive food... He's fond of sweets. If he was allowed, I'd take him to Freiyae. No one does luxury desserts better than them."
E: "What do you get someone who has everything? The best gift I can give is my compliance."
2: What is one thing you've always wanted to say to the other, but haven't?
V: "Oh, we don't keep secrets, do we darling?" Vivruh purred, idly playing with Eldwin's hair. "I know everything that goes on in that head of yours, and I'm not shy about my affections."
[Eldwin offers Vivruh a brief smile. He remains silent.]
3: How did you meet?
V: "Our first meeting was at the winter ball. He was trying so hard to be good, but some of the guests were being a bit much. We were not properly introduced until... it was February. My colleague and I were invited to see the aether source." He sighs dreamily. "I remember it like it was yesterday. Seeing him there kneeling so obediently, silenced and blindfolded... I could smell the fear. It twisted my heart."
4: How long have you been together? How do you feel about that?
V: "It's been... two years now? I must admit, I'm surprised. No one has ever had my attention for this long before." He smiles fondly, stroking Eldwin's cheek. "Of course, we are on and off every few months which helps. The separation just leaves us wanting more."
E: "Two years..." Eldwin whispers, more to himself. He looks up at Vivuh. "I can't imagine my life without you."
5: Whumper, why did you choose whumpee? Whumpee, would you choose whumper if you had the choice?
V: "He looks cute when he's upset." He laughs, brushing it off as a joke with a one armed shrug. "Honestly, the way those brutes treat him, he deserves to be spoilt a little. I enjoy giving gifts, and making people feel good; and he sorely needed some comfort in his life."
E: "Yes. A thousand times yes. I mean I- I did, choose. So..."
6: Pick a fun bonding activity you'd like to do together!
V: He raises his eyebrows. "I think we do plenty of that." He takes a sip of wine.
7: Whumper, what is the worst thing you've done to whumpee? Whumpee, what do YOU think the worst thing they did was?
V: He frowns. "Worst thing? I don't think I've done anything particularly bad..." He glances down at Eldwin. "Go on, what do you think? Be honest."
E: He inhales deeply. When he speaks it's little more than a whisper, and his voice quivers just slightly. "The party..."
V: Vivruh winces. "Ooh... I'd forgotten about that."
8: Whumpee, what is the worst thing YOU'VE done, in your life? Whumper, do you agree?
E: "What? Me?" Eldwin stares blankly. "That would be a long list. Probably the whole making-a-deal-with-a-demon thing? People really don't like that one. Worse than the murders, for some- reason."
V: "Well, I don't mind. It led you to me."
E: He clenches his jaw. "Silver linings!" He says brightly.
9: Both of you have one wish. What is it?
V: He thinks for a long moment. "Don't tell anyone, but I wouldn't be upset if Clyde-" He draws his finger across his own neck. "He's so violent, and so possessive. It makes things difficult.
E: "Oh. On that we can agree."
10: What is something you admire about the other?
V: "His adaptability and resilience are remarkable, especially as a human. I don't think even I could endure half of what he does."
E: "His skill with dreamwalking is incredible, and the telepathy. I've tried, but I can't do it. It's a shame, it would be useful."
11: What are some little habits and/or body language notes you noticed about the other?
V: "He always flinches and stiffens when someone touches him, or even if someone's just in the room. He struggles not having anything to do with his hands, he's always fidgeting with something. Fortunately, I find it endearing."
E: "He doesn't like the sun. Lunar elf thing, I think? He always avoids it, and we rarely go outside on sunny days. He's more relaxed on full moons. He taps his fingers on any surface when he's getting annoyed. He likes playing with people's hair, and when people play with his. But only certain people, not everyone."
12: What's something you want to ask the other? Answer each others question if you can.
V: "What's your fav-"
E: "What happens when you're bored of me? When I haven't done anything wrong, you just... move on. What happens to me then?"
V: "You always worry so much. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Focus on the present, not the future, that's what I always say."
13. Name one of the other persons favourite things.
V: "Cats. I have a stuffed dire-cat - you know, the man eating monsters, with scales, and teeth longer than my forearm - and I've had to move it to a room he doesn't go in because every time he sees it, his thoughts are all miserable. Although, he isn't fond of anything in my collection."
E: He mutters something under his breath, glowering at the floor. When asked to repeat it, he does, although it doesn't sound like what he originally said. "The bloodmoon stone that your mother gave you. That boosts your illusory powers."
14. Who is the others favourite person?
V: "That..." he waves his hand carelessly. "Big guy. Soldier, was he?"
E: "...Nels."
V: "Yes, that's it. Gods know why."
15. Whumper, what is one thing you wish whumpee would do? Whumpee, what is one thing you wish whumper would do?
V: "I wish he'd stop being so shy. It's cute when he's flustered, of course, but I wish he'd be a little more open with me about what he wants."
E: "I..." He glances at Vivruh, swallowing nervously as he quickly looks away. "I wish he'd... be a little nicer to the staff. The house always feels so tense."
[A knowing smirk crosses Vivruh's face. Eldwin keeps his eyes trained on his own lap, knuckles white.]
16. How do you cope?
V: "With what? I'm doing great."
E: "I just try not to think. Focus... focus on the moment."
17. What do you like about yourself?
V: "I think I'm a generous person."
E: He pauses, for a long time. "My magic is strong," he says at last.
18. What do you dislike about yourself?
V: Now Vivruh's the one to take awhile. "I rely on my magic too much. People don't trust me."
[Eldwin stares blankly at the interviewer. He doesn't say anything.]
19. Which of Whumpee's scars is your favourite? Least favourite? All of you answer. If whumper has scars, what do you think of your own?
V: "Favourite would have to be our tally marks. Before he goes home, we carve a line into the tally count to commemorate. Least favourite, easily Clyde's branding." His face scrunches in disgust. "I don't scar. Elven genetics."
E: "My favourite? Um... I don't know. My least favourite though, the..." He raises a hand to his collar. "The burns on my neck. They're difficult to hide, and it's obvious where they came from."
20. How good are you at comforting others?
V: "I think I'm very good at it. I always know exactly what to say."
E: "I've been told I'm terrible."
21. Do you think the other is strong?
V: "Of course. He endures so much, and well, I think those suppressant cuffs are the only thing stopping him from burning everything to the ground. It adds to the thrill."
E: "He has power, certainly."
22. What triggers whumpee?
V: "Everything." Vivruh shrugs. "That's why it's good for him to push through it."
23. What triggers whumper?
E: "As in, set him off? Uh.... he's not easy to anger, thankfully. Don't fight back too much - though you shouldn't lose all your spark either or he'll get bored. Never insult his appearance. That really gets on his nerves."

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Huh. This is a good question. Um. I don't know if I've ever written an angsty ending? Maybe Ghosts in Amber, which is technically a happy ending for the protagonists, but not necessarily due to happy circumstances?
What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? For reasons that I hope are made obvious in the title, Hallmark Christmas Movie.
Do you write crossovers? I've considered it a few times, but never really got into the idea.
Have you ever received hate on a fic? LOL yes, one time somebody went through an entire fic of mine and left negative comments on almost every chapter. I have to admire their commitment to the bit. I don't have the time or inclination to bother leaving hate comments, and also I know how to use the back button when I come across something I don't like. The last comment was something along the lines of, "I don't know if I'll bother reading the sequel." MY DUDE, why did you bother reading past the first chapter of this one if you clearly dislike it so much??? Kids these days, SMH.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Sssssssssssometimes??? (I say, eyes darting nervously down to the task bar and the open document icon of my terrible Mirdania/Sauron WIP.)
Have you ever had a fic stolen? Yes, but in a totally bonkers way? Somebody took screenshots of one of my fics and then reposted it on tumblr as a series of low quality JPEGs??? I have no idea what that was all about. The internet is a strange and wonderful place.
Have you ever had a fic translated? Yeah! One into Russian and Japanese, and more recently somebody asked if they could translate one into Chinese, but I haven't seen the finished product come up yet.
Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but that might be something fun to try in the future.
What’s your all-time favorite ship? I... don't know? Probably my two OCs, about whom I will never write anything. :)
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? Fuck. The Gods of All Things. I know exactly how I want it to end, but just can't bring myself to get back into the bloody MCU fandom.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I'm not a huge fan, and will only do under specific circumstances, such as conveying that somebody in the scene (and by extension the reader) isn't meant to know what's being said.
What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to? Elrond/Gil-galad. Sigh. I complain a lot about how this ship isn't nearly as popular as it should be, while sitting here doing absolutely nothing to further it.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? Hallmark Christmas Movie. It's so dumb. I love it. However, due to minor swearing and allusions to sex-having, I really should have titled it Lifetime Christmas Movie.

I was actually toodling around with that in elementary school. At some point, I think I tried to write Jurassic Park 3? (This was before that movie was a thing). Got about 15 pages into it.
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
I love fantasy and especially dark fantasy (with horror elements). Could do sci-fi, I think. And the romance angle is new, but I think I'm liking it, as long as I can build it slowly and they're both kind of dorks. And I read all of the above, and a BOATLOAD of non-fiction, mostly history, accidents, adventures-going-wrong, etc. I have three bookshelves, and one of them is entirely (and overflowing) with non-fiction.
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
Hmm. I loved Animorphs as a kid, and Jurassic Park. So anything in that vein, I guess? Got compared to Laini Taylor once and I almost choked on my own tongue. If anyone EVER comped my to Tamsyn Muir I would simply expire.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
Literally wherever. First drafts are by hand, because I can take and deploy a notebook anywhere, anytime, with hardly a fuss. The majority of my fic is probably written during my lunch break at my work desk in the old spiral, college-ruled notebook.
At home, when typing, my desk is a catastrophe. Stacks of paper and other notebooks and knocked over figurines. Organization? I don't know her.
What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?
Writing something fun? Listening to music a lot. I'm kinda a work horse, and I've trained myself to GO in about the time of a lunch break or the 10-15 minutes waiting for the bus. The small time increments really helps (not a big commitment, just whatev).
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?
Outsiders, monsters (both of those being the actual hero, I SEE YOU GUILLERMO DEL TORO). Rage against everything that hurt you but like, trying to find a way to channel that. Not super surprised.
What is your reason for writing?
I like it. It's fun! And it's REALLY fun sharing it; lets me connect to other people.
Is there any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?
Literally anything. I'm just tickled somebody took the time to do it (god knows I don't always have enough spoons).
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
I've never really thought about that? (see above, re: outsiders). Never got noticed much in my olden fandom days. So uh, the thought of being perceived vaguely makes me want to crawl under the desk???
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
Dialogue and fights.
How do you feel about your own writing?
I mean, like any writer, I waffle between "Holy crap, this is my best work yet!" and "Throw it in the bin! IN THE BIN!" One thing I've learned is to have fun with it. Because NOT having fun makes it a mind-melting slog and you get burnt out. I try not to take it all very seriously.
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?
Ehhh, more towards what I like and hope it finds an agreeable audience. I know better than to chase trends. I write long fiction, and that is an UNDERTAKING. The only way to consistently see it through is to like what you're working on, so I definitely need to care enough to carry the bitch through.
