My Monthly 3 (October)
So September is over and it’s time to see if I was able to stick to my monthly goals! What were my goals for the month of September? ► Focus more at work Now although I am still not focusing as much as I would like to, I am doing a little better. It helps that a new girl was hired and was able to take a little work off my load, since it was very hard for me to keep up with. I will keep striving…

Interview Question 4 What do you think of the Post Scratch players?
(because everyone but Mara has finished the three first questions and we’re discussing the post scratch players, I think this is a perfect time for this question. The answer for Zara can be edited in later I just ask that you reblog it when you do)
Jacobs answers.
I hate them. They are terrible people that cannot be trusted. I did my research while we were on LoChaK and their classes tell me they are nothing but trouble.
Gold is a slacker. He’s lazy and careless. Has nothing to contribute and just causes problems. He only brings people down and trashes their ideas. According to Tuna, he’s not that different from his uncle. The only good things I can say about him is that he knows his memes well, and he is powerful. Similar to me in a grossly asshole way. He lets things just explode or blow up or burn. It’s frightening that he cares so little about what happens to everyone.
Ryan is the ultimate prick. He only does things for himself and is possibly the most self centered person I’ve ever met. Always gloating and talking about how great he is. The worst part is he’s right! He can do anything we can do and just does everything himself, and he will just boast about his importance and greatness for hours. He doesn’t care if something is important because he feels he is more important. But man he has a dark side. According to the ruins on LoChaK, the prince class is one of the most destructive classes in the game. I’m looking forward to fighting him, it’ll be a good fight that I’ll enjoy so much when I win.
Joann is…not as bad. She’s almost too much like my aunt. Always concerned with what’s been done than what could be done. I can tell she’s got some good in her somewhere, but I don’t think it’s something you can force out of her. It just needs to be coaxed out over time. I’m hoping that Tuna can help her out, I’m not sure what his deal is but I think he’d be eager to help her.
Beth. Despite what Tish says and how Raye and Tuna see her, I can’t look at her in that light. She is powerful. Maybe even stronger than Ryan. Maybe even stronger than me… She…she gives me bad vibes. It’s like how I first saw Mara, looking behind the curtains of a play knowing how everything is done behind the scenes. But instead, Beth is looking behind the scenes and trying to figure out how to break the set pieces. Or manipulate someone into tripping on the stage. She seems manipulative and untrustworthy. Would rather stab someone in the back than take the fall. I could be misreading her but, it won’t make me lower my guard.

Interview Q 3(Jacob)
Who is your guardian? Where are they/ what happened to them? What is your relationship with your guardian?
My guardian is my Aunt. She was alright I guess…she took care of me even though I wasn’t a very easy kid to control. Most of the time though, she just left me at home for a few weeks while she went out to dig up fossils and shit. I got a pretty neat saber tooth tiger skull but I ended up breaking off the tooth to stab my bed sheet when I had a bad dream. She was really nice but, I wasn’t her priority. What came first was her studies of prehistory. I like dinosaurs don’t get me wrong they’re giant lizard birds that fought each other tooth and claw. But she just goes on and on about them and glazes over how destructive they were. I eventually got sick of it, but she still thought I enjoyed the lessons. I never got to tell her how much I hated her for that. I miss her, but mostly as someone I could trust. Not as someone I loved. She died fighting an ogre while I was off exploring. She didn’t deserve to die, she was annoying but I still think she would’ve learned that I’m more concerned with the future and not with the past. Which is all she is now.-J
Interview Q2 Jacob
How well do you work together [with your teammates]? Who are you and how can you contribute to the session? And how do you think your teammates can contribute?
Honestly, I’m kind of a loner. I haven’t done a whole lot with my team yet. But I guess I can see how they’ll be useful.
Obviously I’m the best fighter on the team there’s no question about it. But unfortunately this game is a bit more than fighting. Which is how everyone else is pretty useful.
Raye is a pain sometimes, but I guess she’s a good leader. She seems to know what to do most of the time. In a similar fashion to Tuna, she seems to keep me from destroying things. But it’s not really the same because instead of Tuna influencing me, it becomes my own decision on if I want to. She’s good at changing my mind I guess. Which I’ll admit, can be good for everyone.
Tish is very bubbly I guess? She seems to be very knowledgable on what I’m feeling and knows how to fix it without breaking something else. She understands everyone and how they feel about situations like second nature. She reminds me of my old school councilor. She just wants everyone to be happy, and I think that she can keep the peace between people if we ever get into too much of a…scuffle? Yeah scuffle.
Mara is…she’s something else entirely. She’s always so calm and collected. Watching everything that goes on, not necessarily in front of her, but behind the curtains. I’ve got a bad feeling that she knows more about me than I do but maybe that’s a good thing? If she can see the worst in people, maybe she can figure out the best. I think we’ll work pretty well together, she’s not a brainiac like Raye, but she catches things that no else would notice and that’s especially handy in a strife.
Tuna! My little buddy! He’s more useful than you or even he thinks. He’s not very confident in himself and that’s not always a bad thing. He knows when to pick a fight and when not to, an ability that would’ve saved me a few bruises. He’s pretty sly as well. It took a long time before I realized that this pesky internet guy was my friend. He just seems to give out positivity to everyone. Even if it seems like it wouldn’t be accepted.
Oh my god Raye! Why the fuck are you swinging your staff inside! I’m trying to kill them on my own! I can build your house and fight imps at the same time! I need to pester her and tell her to get the fuck outside. I might accidentally drop a bathtub or some shit on her. Hah! Maybe I’ll do that to an imp. -Jacob
Raye interview p2
How well do you work together [with your teammates]?
Who are you and how can you contribute to the session? And how do you think your teammates can contribute?
This place is so cool! What’s it called again? The Land of Chains and Opal? I don’t know what that means but I can’t wait until everyone else is in the game too. Maybe Tish is around here somewhere?
Of course, I somehow managed to end up with Jacob as my server player, and I almost can’t believe the two of us made it even this far. I kept telling him what to do, and he wouldn’t listen and kept knocking things over and destroying the house! The only good thing about that was it knocked the imps around too, which was good, because it’s hard to swing a staff effectively indoors. I’m doing a lot better now that I’ve made it out of the house and fought off enough imps to take a breather. I can still hear noise from inside the house and I don’t want to know what Jacob is up to now. He decided to play a Knight of Rage for this game, and I think it certainly fits him, especially if he continues to be this destructive. I can’t wait until he gets into the game himself so he can go beat up some imps instead of bothering me.
I’m pretty sure Tish is playing by now, although I don’t know if she’s entered the game yet. She decided to play an Heir of Heart after all. Of the classpects we read about, it seems one of the less clearly defined, and I bet she likes the challenge. We work really well together - her personality matches mine almost exactly, and she always likes hearing my ideas.
I sent Tuna the anime keychain, but I couldn’t tell if he liked it. I know he got the package but he wouldn’t say much when I asked him about it. Anyway, we’ve actually been getting on much better over puzzles and games. He’s good at suggesting new solutions when I’m stuck on a train of thought that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. He still hasn’t decided what class to play, though. I guess he’s waiting to keep his options open? He better decide soon, since he’s supposed to enter the game next. Can you even enter the game without picking a class first?
Mara is great, even though we can only catch each other online for a few hours each day. More often than not I’ll just wake up to a message from her, and replying really feels like I’m sending it off into the void (hehe) since I don’t know if she’s even awake at the other end. Her class, Seer of Void, seems to be sort of a side class with special abilities that can also provide support. Like making enemies’ health bars visible, or finding hidden treasure on the overworld map… the Sburb info we found wasn’t too clear on the actual abilities, so I’m guessing based on other video games I’ve played before.
Oh yeah, and I’ll be playing a Sylph of Mind. Most early reviews are calling the Sylph a healing class, but the actual class abilities seem to include buffs and general support too. As for why I picked this class, well… actually, it just kinda felt right? Not gonna lie, I was coming in here expecting to min-max, but none of the other classes stood out to me. Being able to apply logic and alter decisions sounds pretty fun, so I’m looking forward to finding out exactly what my skills and abilities are going to be.
…Great, now Jacob’s pestering me again. He wants me to go back into the house and pick up all the grist he got so he can start building up my house. Which… is a good idea, but does he have to be so bossy and impatient about it?? I’m trying to keep a journal here!
About Tish: the Heir class is one of the less agreed-upon in the fandom afaik, and I’m not sure which definition you’re going with here, so I left that open for you.
As for me, since the Sylph is also a somewhat difficult class, I tend to define the Sylph as “passive change” paired with the Witch. But I think all definitions broadly agree that the Sylph is a passive class who improves her Aspect and improves others through her Aspect, whether through guiding, healing, changing, or creating.
- your resident classesandaspects mod, Raye
(Psst, tuna doesn’t know his classpect yet -tuna)
oh whoops ok thanks!
Hah! Impatient. Good answers.-J
Thanks Raye! Yeah. Not trying to be an authority on it, just going with what I can relate to. I’ll get that down clearer in a bit. - Tish
Jacobs response to interview.
I may as well.
So Raye is…okay I guess? She’s very smart and has good input, but it can come off as a bit annoying. Like I know she wants to play the game safely, but come on risks are the fun part!
Mara is pretty nice. She’s very soft spoken and doesn’t say much, but when she does talk she gets the attention of everyone. I respect her since she seems to know the worst things about people but still knows they’ve got good parts to. She’s shy and quiet but I don’t know if it’s because she’s scared of people, or scared of making a fool of herself. Although I don’t think she could do anything that would make her look dumb.
Tish is a riot! She seems so happy and carefree. I wish I was that joyful. She cares for everyone and only wants to help people and that’s admirable. But she can be a bit over the top sometimes. I’m about 88% certain she digs Raye. I don’t know why, but she always agrees with her and that jazz.
Tuna is something else entirely. Despite how different we are, I can’t seem to hate him. He’s not very confident in himself though, and I hope I can help out with that. And he always knows the right way to calm me down. He doesn’t preach to me, or give me religious quotes, he just really cares and understands my anger. I’m really grateful he invited me to play this game. I’m sure I’ll have a blast and maybe even make some new friends.
