An interview with me
by Mirai.
What is my story? My name is Hadas, and I'm 27 year old artist/educator in training from Israel. I'm now in Amsterdam for students exchange and I am very excited about this new and probably big chapter in my life
What makes you laugh in the morning? I'm not a morning person so it might take a little longer to make me laugh, but I tend to laugh over things that surprise me, I guess
What is a book/film/series that influence you the most? Honestly it always changes but I really really like the book "Goodbye to Berlin" by Christopher Isherwood. It's about the urban/bohemian life in Weimar republic, just before the Nazi's rise to power. the movie and the musical "Cabaret" are based on this book. I really like how the writer looks at things and reflects them.
What's your passion at the moment? to get the most out of my current adventure, to meet interesting people, new cultures and new ways to think of art. also, to keep on doing and developing my own artworks and processes.
What's the most important thing you need to know about me? That's I'm a nice person who is really enthusiastic about meeting new people, cultures, etc.
What do you want to learn this semester? I would like to learn more about myself and my own art practice, and how to learn and develop by doing. also, to get to know new perspectives of life, art, and more, thanks to my stay here in Amsterdam
What's your ambition in the Breitner academy? Quite the same.
Which artists inspire you? right now I'm very into young new-media artist, especially feminist female ones, like Molly Soda and Arvida Bystrom.
