Day 9 :) Compass Pose!!!! Picture on the Right is from 1/10/17 Picture on the Left is from today 3/9/20. Okay 3 years right? It may seem like only a little bit has changed but I believe out of the entire March Yogini 🧘♀️ Challenge Compass Pose has seen the most amount of progress. I only say this because right away I see three major differences: 1.) My left hip is grounded 2.) My right foot is tucked in where it’s supposed to be & 3.) My left leg is closer to straight with much less force. I brightened the pictures so you may be able to see that my right hip is wayyyy off the ground in the left picture. I didn’t realize it then, but the foundational work that is crucial to the safety of your practice is also required for a more honest assessment of what your body needs in your practice. In the past few months I’ve been focused on sticking to a yoga schedule that pushes me to work a certain region of the body strength-wise or stretch-wise and a lot of the time both! For example, today I worked on backbends & legs 😅 I’m tired guys lol my legs feel like cement but my hips are as light as a feather lol I bring this up because these past few months have been the most consistent yoga schedule I’ve ever had and that’s important to me because I’d rather be consistent and do a 15-30 minute video everyday then a full hour three times a week. I’m excited to see this challenge in a few years and update 💖 I feel like I’m just starting yoga even though it’s been so many years. I’m happy to learn more and am grateful for my practice and for my ability to move my body everyday 💘💕✨💫🧘♀️ Hope all is well with you & your yogi journey #namaste #marchyogachallenge #yogachallenge #yoga #yogini #yoginisofinstagram #yoginilife #yoginilifestyle #smile #practiceandalliscoming #breathe #itsokaytomakemistakes #inthewordsofmel #liveandlearn #focus #love #becompassionate #yogaeverydamnday https://www.instagram.com/p/B9hts1BlRul/?igshid=1oyklapv34k55
