#546 Cottonee - When attacked, it escapes by shooting cotton from its body. The cotton serves as a decoy to distract the attacker. They go wherever the wind takes them; on rainy days, their bodies are heavier, so they take shelter beneath big trees. Perhaps because they feel more at ease in a group, they stick to others they find and they end up looking like a cloud.
Cottonee? :3

I see that you got app r1 Puppet skills.. any suggestions for a puppeteer in the works? I haven't found many helpful tips for people just starting off with puppeteer. o;
Well... I'm not quite sure I ranked mine in the most ideal order, but I'll give it a shot.
One thing to keep in mind is that Control Marionette (much like the fighter's Chain Mastery) is more of a ranking-as-you-go thing. Any time that it's available to rank up, I'd suggest putting the AP there without another thought, especially since they patched old training glitch a long while back. Control Marionette as well as Pierrot/Colossus Marionette will give your puppets the stats that they need, and Pierrot/Colossus are the only two puppet skills that have any CP requirements, so with those two factor combined as well as the fact that they're not too hard to train up anyway, I'd honestly say that ranking Pierrot and Colossus to r1 quickly is a good idea, too.
Other than that, you can train puppet skills anywhere, though I'd really suggest Act 6: Crisis and Act 7: Climactic Crash as two that you focus on first, with Act 4: Rising Action tied in there, too. Those three skills are the crowd control and room clearers, more or less. Some things to keep in mind with them:- Crisis will pull enemies (and prevent attack enemies) that surround the marionette.- Rising Action will attack all of the enemies around you, the puppeteer, much like a wider-area windmill; it's also possible to load it while your puppet is still recovering from a hit, so you can use it to knock off enemies that are rushing both you and the marionette.- Climactic Crash has to be aimed, but it will hit a pretty large cross-section along that line, too.
As for Act 1: Inciting Incident and Act 2: Threshold Cutter, it's really just a matter of spamming them over and over. It gets a little boring, the cooldowns can make it tedious, and it's sometimes easiest to just rank them either in Provocation or against weak enemies (think something like raccoons or foxes). I'd also suggest finding an area that has a lot of weak enemies packed together for Act 9: Invigorating Encore if you want to train it actively (otherwise, just make sure you use it ever time it's available), because you'll need kills as well as skill uses during the activation period. Again, it's really tedious, but even at higher ranks, you can pull in at least 10 points of training through skill spamming per Invigorating Encore activation.
The two wire skills, you can pretty much train wherever you want. They're a little tedious, but that's about it there. Do keep in mind that you cannot use Wire Pull on barrier spikes and there are certain enemies it won't work on; also, Puppet's Snare can be used on enemies with Advanced Heavy Stander, but while it will apply the damage-over-time effect, it will not lock them in place. On the other hand, Puppet's Snare can prevent blinkers from flying.
All of this said, you can pretty much train the skills anywhere, though; they'll train quickly enough in combat, too, though you do need to use the skills a fair few times. On the other hand, some requirements can be troublesome, enemies don't always like to bunch up for your AoEs when you're in missions, so you might have to take some time to forcibly create groups in easier missions.
Training-wise, I would say:- Get a feel for how the skills work by practicing on enemies that you know won't pose a major threat for you; Dorren's Request works for controlling when you'll face enemies so that you can test things out.- Crisis into Climactic Crash might not work out at earlier ranks, but the stun time increases while load time decreases as you rank the skills up, so you might have to wait to get your timing down with that.- An easy way to train the group-kill requirements for Rising Action and Crisis is to use the first room of Sulfur Spiders basic; set your finish rule to "Anyone in Party" so that you'll have more groups of 6.- Crisis can also target barrier spikes if there is an actual enemy near the spikes. For this reason, you can actually get guaranteed groups of 9 if you use Lingering Darkness basic. Just look for any of the groups of 4 enemies behind barrier spikes and use Crisis there. The spikes will count as 5 enemies. At later ranks, this might take a few runs (and you might get really unlucky and only find one barrier spike group), but I found it easier than trying to create a group of 8 in Sulfur Spiders.
Finally, they've never fixed the glitch where Control Marionette doesn't decrease the cooldown of your skills if you don't unsummon your marionette. The icon will become available as though the cooldown is properly decreased, the game's message (that you can't use it again for # seconds) will take into account the Control Marionette cooldown reduction, but you will be unable to use the skill until the full cooldown has finished... unless you unsummon your marionette and summon the other one instead. Then the cooldown will be properly reduced. It may not seem like much, but sometimes those two extra seconds of waiting to use Crisis can be a big difference.

Seriously, college is frustrating. I got my college acceptance 2 days before May 1st, and I submitted my housing form LATE. Now I’m number 800 something on the waitlist for housing.. x__x
800th??!
Oh my God. So there's like very little chance you're going to get housing??
I'm sorry :(
intheworldofdanny replied to your post: Falling In Love actually isn’t that bad They all... I thought the same thing. The only thing that seemed weird to me was the “touch me over here touch me over there" part. I feel like it was just thrown in to fill in the sapce. O;
Yeah that part was a little weird
I think they wanted a part of the song to be catchy and easy to sing along to for international fans because the chorus doesn't have much english in it (which personally I'm ok with but yeah)
It does seem a little oddly placed, I agree.
