Ooo, can I please hear more about Intimidation Game?

Oh course you can! Intimidation Game is gonna be a Ransom fic based off a convo I had with @brandycranby a little while back. This was asked by both you and @biteofcherry 👀🫡

The basic premise is Ransom trying to be intimidating, and everyone else knowing to stay away, except for reader. They’re the only one who challenges him. And to be honest, he’s a little bit intimidated by them, too. So it’s semi rival-y, until Ransom traps reader in a doorway, you know that thing where he braces his arm above you so you’re semi-trapped and it’s kinda hot and makes your heart race? That. 🥵🫠 and he leans down real close, nose to nose. Is that a kiss op?🫣🤷🏻‍♀️ someone may get tackled with a demand for ending this dance, the tables could get turned…😏

intimidation game -> a female video game developer is harassed and threatened by a group of misogynistic cyber terrorists (imdb). gamer gate babey! liv spends the entire episode worried about noah growing up to be weird. an extremely unserious time that ends with fin murdering logan paul.

silent night, hateful night -> the squad is called in to investigate a wave of hate crimes on christmas eve. amanda catches up with an old flame (imdb). also known as, Why Do One Hate Crime When You Can Do 9? jason biggs incessantly says, “marone!” so we really get that he’s italian. honestly just some incredibly on the nose writing from mr. leight and liv does kill a guy! happy holidays!

Okay so I’m rewatching season 16 and how has no one written about Sonny and Fin being into video games???

You’re right! I haven’t come across any fics about that either!

Glad you brought this up though. Sonny at that convention has such contrasting behaviour to what we see from him later in the series. I think this is in part because Sonny was still relatively new and the writers hadn’t quite figured out who they wanted him to be. In particular, when Sonny is hooting and hollering at the convention with the crowd… IDK it just felt kinda cringe and out of character? Maybe Sonny does enjoy participating with the crowd…but he still seemed so new to the video game world to be that involved or invested???

I got the impression that Sonny was seeing these type of fans for the first time based on his sassy response when Fin explains what ”noob” meant. “Yeah, that’s so much shorter.”

So maybe Sonny is a casual gamer, or he played them as a kid, or in college.

Now I want to see Fin loaning Sonny some games and Sonny trying to figure out how to play them. Maybe he and a reader sit down and get addicted to competing against one another.

OR, Fin loans him a bunch of FP shooters and Sonny ends up trying the reader’s Sims game instead and the reader comes home to him on his day off having spent it entirely building and decorating houses in the Sims. He looks disheveled and says with an eye twitch “it’s better than HGTV!” 😂
