So we discovered yesterday that I have been "quite anemic!" (Doctor's quote) and it's still kind of wild to me. Prescription iron pills here I go!

I was in to discuss menstruation management and I explained that I just spend so much time ON my period (not the whole story here, but I get the full 7 days of a period) and after that discussion the doctor said she wanted a blood test to check on anemia. I am at least a week out from my last period, I'm not actively bleeding; I thought I was operating at a reasonable baseline.

Now I'm wondering about said baseline LMAO. I've been on this period cycle for close to a decade. It's just gotten more intense a bit and I'm mostly just fed up with dealing with it. I'm late 30s and just too tired for the shit. (I'm sick of EVERY VACATION EVER being accompanied on some level with my period. Not exaggerating.)

So SURPRISE. And I'm just sitting here like 'what have I been enduring that I didn't need to?'
