toh fave is hunter and i'm very incredibly special about him, he's my favourite character of all time alongside jason grace from pjo. though i used to have a fixation on amity, so i also am a big fan of her still. i ship lumity, huntlow, raeda & aladarius.

james ortiz says he decided to characterize rocky as really anxious and neurotic and the directors said that’s a big part of why they chose him. ryan gosling decided to play grace as scared and avoidant towards everything (alien ship, alien message, working on the task force, talking to stratt at all).
taking these (fairly) calm and cool book characters and making them extremely nervous is one of the things that really makes the relationship & entire movie work. and the fact that both actors decided to do this independently before ever meeting is very funny to me.

While Percy's missing during TLH and SoN, Ethan is hanging around the north west and keeping an eye out, and then sees Percy dawdling around with Frank and Hazel on the SoN quest. Important context, I hc that the TA knew about both the greeks and the romans because they were fighting a two-front war and had to have everyone on the same page, but made sure not to tell anyone not in the army about it because A) they didn't want their enemies to join forces and B) some bullshit about how the greeks and romans aren't supposed to know about each other because Bad things will happen.
So anyway, Ethan sees Percy on his quest and immediately grabs him to be all "dude where the fuck have you been everyone's losing their shit it's been like a year no one's dying there's giants now or some bullshit and also why the fuck are you wearing PURPLE?!?!?!?!" but Percy, still amnesiac, just looks at Ethan and squints for a little and goes " . . . I feel like we've met somewhere before???"
