Hello I am GREEDY! For the writing asks: 12, 13, 16 :)
Teesha, you can HAVE.
12. Do you outline your fics? If yes, how detailed are your outlines? How far do you stray from them?
I do outline my fics. For short little ficlets, I'll usually just do a couple bullet points, grab some bingo prompts, and go to town. For bigger projects like gold room, and an upcoming project I affectionately call toob, I like to break each chapter down into scenes, determine what my goal is for each of them, and basically get anything important I want to be in the chapter into a doc. The more I outline, the smoother my writing process tends to be. Plus, it leaves less room for faffing about!
13. Do you listen to music while you write? If yes, what have you been listening to recently?
I listen to music almost constantly, and I genuinely cannot write in silence. I'll make a playlist if I'm writing a larger work (my CAPRBB fic has two separate playlists for the two major scenes), but generally, I'll find a singular song that fits the mood and listen to it on repeat for however long I write. My most recent favourite is As long as I have you I'm home by Imaginary Future, and this song defined the first half of we've read the back of the book [ we know what's going to happen ].
16. Do you write by hand, on your phone, or on your laptop?
I used to write by hand, and I was pretty prolific about it? I wrote a MCR self-insert fanfic that was about 42 chapters long (10ish pages back and front per chapter) starting when I was 12 that was all by hand. I really can only write on my laptop, though I do outline sometimes or make notes on my phone.
Thanks for asking @into-a-ship-or-2. You are the sweetest angel, and I am giving you a kiss on your precious forehead.
