"hey, valentine..." red-painted lips curl into her signature dangerous grin, but the light in her eyes is warm and genuine. nora wraps her hand around his tie and tugs him down to her level. her gaze lingers on his face, searching his features, before she closes the distance and gives him a gentle kiss.

Most folks wouldn't be able to tug him around-- the old synth might as well have been rooted to the ground by the soles of his shoes. But it helped if he moved too, and when Nora tugged on his tie it was a reflex to move with it.

Granted he hadn't expected her to kiss him. Evidently the Great Clockwork Dick could be taken by surprise, if the wide eyes and the sound of whirring servos said anything about it.

He was left blinking, lips parted.

"...Well. Isn't that a fine howd'ya do."

Nick figured Nora was fast asleep by the time he dug out his book to read by the firelight. Usually she'd catch him with a copy of Pride and Prejudice or The Cask of Amontillado-- but with a tiring day and his companion supposedly asleep it looked like Nick Valentine had whipped out the big guns to loosen up.

Red, White, and Royal Blue in only partially scorched softcover sat in his hand as he leaned against a tree and flipped the pages illuminated by the crackling embers of their fire.

A shift in her sleeping bag revealed she was staring at him. The book snapped shut. "...What?"

"It's late. You should get some rest while you can."

i am only four seasons in to supernatural and yet i consume your posts like a ravenous dung beetle in a poop field. Also yes I was a superwholock back in 2013, but this reobsession... I'm so sorry to everyone who followed me before November 5th. The fixation is REAL.

And yes Sam DOES have OCD this is just a fact, and I couldn't see anyone talking about it so I decided I'd spark the convo so glad to never shut up about it <3 I related deeply to him before I KNEW what was going on with me and my OCD, so yeah it's personal, but that also makes me more right <3
