Into The Thicket, from the sophomore album Blue Sunshine, epitomizes the peak of hopefulness expressed in the first two albums from D.C.-based indie rock outfit U.S. Royalty. With folkish acoustics sprinkled throughout their tunes, USR's eclectic sounds (the likes of which seem to pull from the likes of an anxious Lord Huron to an anti-synth Sir Sly) contain a myriad of emotive and expressioned thoughts and experiences. Playing to the true heart of the indie genre, the band has quite successfully released two albums (MIRRORS in 2011 and this year's Blue Sunshine) to a reasonably sized and faithful audience. Looking forward to more "rock, rattle and roll" from these guys in the future.

Never believe someone that feels the need to sell themselves. If they truly are something they’ll reveal it soon enough.
