ANOTHER ETERNITY in it’s entirety, over at NPR and Pitchfork right now ahead of it’s release. This is a solid sophomore effort from these two genius individuals. So glad it is finally here….
The Montreal band mines the built-in tension between its many sources of effervescence and the darker shading in its words and backgrounds.

A new find tonight that I want to share! Cool Rainbows. Not sure that they have the most consistent release of material, but i love the sound!
It might be viral, but it's a lot of fun!
Committed To The Crime, the new one from Chaos Chaos is out today!! The six track listing shows promise, and features the incredible Breaker, which debuted a few weeks ago. Do not miss this one. In other music news today, Oct.7th - Broods releases debut LP Evergreen. Watch for an album review this weekend.
Great Good Fine OK just released the debut EP Body Diamond last Thursday. It isn't anything particularly new, as three of the four songs had already debuted as singles. It is, however, and exciting landmark for a band that will no doubt rise to success in the future. If you haven't yet, go listen to Great Good Fine OK!
In preparation of this Thursday's concert in Portland, today I'm featuring LA trio BEGINNERS. Only a year or two in to their form, the band's first EP (a self-titled debut) is a five-track set with heavy synthetic qualities that compliment emotive and angsty female vocals and harmonies, as well as strong but subtle drum lines (Jason Walker). The guitar (Neeraj Kane) featured in Ever Love calls us back to the likes of Kings of Leon (think Radioactive), while the lead vocals (Samantha Barbera) are reminiscent of the vocals Serena Ryder features on the hit track Stompa, which features the attitude of the modern age with a dose of rock and roll throwback. BEGINNERS is already proving success after this summer, having been featured on two tracks from the new Bassnectar album, as well as preforming a Bootleg DJ show with the sublime Until The Ribbon Breaks. Watch their SoundCloud for new material and be on the lookout for a debut LP in the near future! BEGINNERS will be opening four of the first five shows of WALK THE MOON's "Shut Up and Tour," a month long autumn tour that starts in Seattle this Wednesday and will feature new music from their upcoming album, set to be released sometime this autumn. Many dates have already sold out, but I cannot stress enough that if you haven't seen them before, check out WALK THE MOON this fall, select dates featuring BEGINNERS and Public, and catch their new album when it drops this Fall.
Featuring Rae Morris again today, because, let's be honest, she's kind of freaking amazing. Among her own tracks and remixes of her work others have produced, her SoundCloud page also features this gem from Bombay Bicycle Club. Bombay, probably one of the most popular bands (600k+ FB fans) I've ever seen not turn mainstream, a paradox of the music world i still don't quite understand. Regardless, their is no doubt that they are an incredible band. Their choice in featuring vocalists is incredulous as well.... Morris was featured as the female vocal lead on the track Luna from this years release So Long, See You Tomorrow. Another testament to Morris' talent, I'm consistently blown away by here variety of ability, ranging from indie pop music to beautiful, lulled acoustic/piano cuts. So excited for her as her career continues to unfold unto the world.....
We got another one. Great Good Fine OK has released another new song, and not a moment too soon. You're the One For Me and Not Going Home are incredible debut singles, and if there existed any sentiments that the duo couldn't surpass expectations, By My Side at met, if not surpassed them. Still so incredibly excited for a debut EP or LP..... these guys know what electropop should sound like. If you frequent HypeMachine, give em a like here.
