Sylvie's bio (linked) gives a much clearer explanation of her character than I can offer here, but I'll do my best!

Sylvie has spent her entire life in carnival freak shows, and she firmly believes that what she has now is the best she could ever hope for. What she has now, though, happens to be a spot at the side of the infamous Ringleader, Emarra Yumeno.

Though she has conflicted feelings about her savior-slash-captor, Sylvie ultimately feels fortunate to be his favorite, and she can't help feeling attached to him. He saved her from far worse conditions, and she's been his prized possession for a very long time.

Though it's hard to know what she may act like outside of Emarra's shadow, one can safely say that Sylvie is reserved, pensive, and ultimately kind, caring deeply for those around her even when she lacks the courage to help them.

Even the toughest of warriors might experience a moment of weakness in their life. Even the most resolute of the defenders needs to rest at some point. The Radiance knew that those occasions were the most precious to reach out towards the waking world and catch each and every traitor that still breathed out there. A new one had just fallen asleep. Taking advantage of their loss of contact with reality, dragging them to the dream world didn’t prove to be too much of a nuisance - usually not, at least. This time was special. Her target was special.

She couldn’t imagine, at first, that she was about to meet the princess of Hallownest.

When Hornet woke up, she was laying on her back, facing orange clouds and a tall, deep sky without stars. If she focused on the surface she was laying on, she would find a smooth floor under her, one made of big and precious stones. Their colors were dark hues, just as the towering, curved structures that loomed over her. If she tried to look around her, she would see the distant horizon made of beautifully shaped clouds, every single one shining in a warm, orange light. These rays originated by a single point in the distance, a sun. The gentle warmth and the unparalleled beauty of it was easily able to attract the eye and monopolize the attention. A few platforms floated around, tracing a path to get closer to it.

Halley is the blunt and stoic secretary of famous carnival critic, Jarvis Diadem (also a Newt design), a job she seems outwardly indifferent towards. Here's a doodle I never posted lol

Like many adults with obvious mutations, Halley is only alive today because of the greed and fascination of others, and she spent most of her life bouncing around cheap circuses. Much of that movement was owed to the fact that she's not particularly flashy or expressive, but her stony disposition was ultimately what caught Jarvis' eye.

The carnival showcasing her was, according to his review, terrible, and that negative press was enough to put it under. He found her the most amusing part, though, and he nabbed her when it went belly-up. Jarvis gave her two options: work for him as a (paid) live-in secretary, or run off, no strings attached, and find something else to do.

Jarvis isn't a good person, mind you. But the way she acts is only funny if she's being treated like a person, see? And he finds her hilarious.

Halley's not a big nickname person, but Jarvis insists on calling her that and she doesn't care enough to complain. She also doesn't seem to care when he calls her a freak of nature. Maybe it packs less punch when he has the same mutation?

ALRIGHT WELL. I don't think he really needs introduction, honestly, but I WILL OBEY THE GENERATOR!!!!

ARKIRO "ARCHIE" ROATUS !!

Descendant to the Restorer, Ailzea Roatus, Archie was raised by his ancestor and loves him very dearly. He also has a sister, Marrie, a puppet Ailzea created to be his friend (it was a young Archie who declared them siblings)

He's reckless and masochistic, often picking fights for the sole purpose of getting beaten up.

Those destructive habits are enabled by the fact that he has the ability to manipulate space, giving him the power to manipulate gravity and teleport, and his father can revive anyone that dies by his own hand. If things get dicey, Archie can always pop back home for a quick reset!

He has, however, been less quick to stick his nose into trouble recently, owed to the near-death experience he had at the claws of Favion Lefera, Ailzea's childhood "friend" (bully?) who was eager to get a reaction out of him.

Though Archie acts wild, he's very responsible when it comes to his church and family, and he cares deeply about protecting his people. He's hard to read, hiding behind several layers of insincerity and dirty jokes, but threatening those he feels responsible for protecting is an easy way to really piss him off.

He also really likes knives. You can usually find him spinning one.

I put that square because she's holding a syringe and I don't want phobias to exclude anyone from reading this but now it just looks like she's flipping us all off lol

ANYWAYS. My rat :)

Ithica is a lab assistant to the eccentric Dr. Damsel, who also, coincidentally, kind of made her? Ithica's a test tube baby. It's not even important to anything, we just thought it'd be really funny to make her a homunculus. Which eventually led to this abomination of an edit

moving on again.

Ithica also does her own research!!! She's studying the link between blood and psionics, and trying to discover a means of unlocking the psionic gene through genetic modification. She gets a lot of funding from the Fleet, as they're obviously quite interested in being able to control their people at a genetic level, and she takes blood draws from prisoners in Fleet facilities for her research.

She does care about ethics though! She doesn't take blood from anyone who hasn't consented. It might be a little coerced, since sometimes they can get privileges in exchange, but that part's none of her business.

Her lusus is a little ratdog thing that may or may not be a normal animal she got released into the woods with after being made. Jury's still out.
