It had been almost a week and a half since her arrival in the city. Caden had been able to find a place to stay, had managed to find that the cards in her wallet still worked here, and that even the inheritance left to her by her moth- by Evelyn had managed to be deposited. Most importantly of all -at least to her personally- she hadn’t had another ‘episode’ since arriving. As she sped up her jog into a full run through the park, Caden began to consider if perhaps having made her spontaneously travel from the east coast to the west had tapped out whatever the hell had been inside her to begin with.
It was she was rounding a bend and thinking about how she still wished she could’ve found someone with answers, that she felt it again. There was a faint ringing that precluded the ‘episode’ and she felt it start as soon as she lifted her leg. By the time her foot came into contact with solid ground again, it wasn’t that of the park. “FUCK MY LIFE!” The frustration of this all was really beginning to add up. It took her a bit to stop seeing red and start taking note of her surroundings. Spinning around, she was met with the very confused face of a young woman behind a counter. “I-” she began, but words failed her. “Uh- I- I’m sure you have questions but, unfortunately I’m pretty sure I have the same ones...”
