Aesthetic Life

I want to live that beautiful aesthetic life. But I find myself surrounded by clutter. 

Minimalist things look so beautiful in pictures, but I also love the joy of collecting things. 

I wish I could be Cottagecore, but I live in a city and it’s a pandemic. I got a succulent and an orchid that I still haven’t managed to kill yet, does that count?

I love the beauty of Dark and Light Academia, but sometimes I just want to enjoy tons of colors like pinks, purples, and neon green and yellow. 

Maybe that’s why I like Tumblr and Instagram and Pinterest. I can live vicariously through others’ aesthetics, without having to purchase and dispose of a million different things as my interests change constantly, as they usually do. 

This is no hate towards the people who post these photos. I really love them so much and they bring me such joy. I just know from past experiences that when I go all out buying things for a new interest, I soon want to move on to the next thing.
