*internally* Shut up, you're an asshole and know nothing. *starts daydreaming about revenge with no intent to actually do it*

*externally* *rushes to best friend/boyfriend/girlfriend* I need a hug :(

*internally* Well, you are a jerk. I'm not going to be spending much more time with you.

Hm, instinctive system for sharing of emotional information. I find I filter the amount of emotional information I share with people based on how much emotional information they seem to want. If someone is flat I hold back (it's interesting a lot of people can be deadpan get the reaction of people dumping a lot on them). If someone is seeking, I divulge (typically). If someone shares I meet them and usually go further. It is harder when you're interacting with people that don't know to seek emotional information (most NTs I know see it as invasive). For several of my NTs friends, I hit a point where I just emotion dumped and they reacted well so suddenly their was increased emotional intimacy in our friendship.
